Mahaado is a master sorcerer training hard to become a sage. And given the time displacement, that goal has been about the only thing that hasn't changed. When he's not training and undergoing tests from Thoth, he's trying to figure out where he and his pet kuribo fit in this modern world.
Conflict and tragedy have followed him closely - the countless battles, the death and magical resurrection of his friends, a devistating mind crush and resulting coma, banishment from different jobs and living quarters, and even a long stretch of time where he had to care for Kafele, his ka-turned-human. He found comfort in intoxicants, and after hitting rock bottom at least twice, spent time in Domino's Simon Center to battle his own alcoholism.
They say there's only one place to go, and that's up... But knowing Mahaado, he'll get there in the hardest way possible.
