ph33r my rod: *enters room... had been up to the hospital with Isis earlier, but he'd wanted to come back by himself* "..." *walks up next to the bed*
Omega19x: *still as unconscious as he was before*
Omega19x: *there are doctors wandering around outside, of course*
ph33r my rod: *pulls a chair up next to the bed and sits down* "..." *gently takes Ryou's hand in both of his own and sighs*
Omega19x: *the monitor answers you with a stoic beep*
Omega19x: *damn the stoic beep... damn it...*
Omega19x: *suddenly Ryou's eyes shoot open*
ph33r my rod: "..." *blinks* "Ryou?"
Omega19x: "He is resting."
ph33r my rod: *frowns, realizing it's Khons* "...I know. I'm not expecting him to... wake up just yet, I just want to... sit here and be with him."
Omega19x: "I was not prepared for his actions. His... choice has left his spirit quite exhausted."
ph33r my rod: "...I see."
Omega19x: "But he insisted."
ph33r my rod: "...if he hadn't helped us, we would've..." *sighs*
Omega19x: "I could feel the concern my fellow gods had over your bodies... at times the strain was very great, yes."
Omega19x: "But I insisted, should your lives be in any mortal danger, they would pull you back."
Omega19x: "It was the least I could do, for those who would so nobely sacrifice their lives for someone they cared for."
ph33r my rod: "..." *nods* "...I would gladly give my life for Ryou. To give him a chance to life and be happy, I'd... give anything."
Omega19x: "So would he... When he realized your lives were on the line as they were, he INSISTED he fight by your side."
Omega19x: "To be frank, I did not wish to permit this. To send his spirit there would be to kill him. Indeed, it almost did. The healers of your realm are powerful."
Omega19x: "As was the man who breathed life back into him."
ph33r my rod: "...?" *blinks*
Omega19x: "the dark part of his soul, whom he cares for dearly."
ph33r my rod: "...oh. Bakura." *looks over at him in the corner* "...I see."
Omega19x: (oh wait, Malik doesn't know about Ryou... um... dying back there, does he.)
ph33r my rod: (( Isis probably told him. :x ))

Omega19x: "His spirit form is weak, but his body is growing stronger."
ph33r my rod: "...so you mean... the disease is gone? Or going away?"
Omega19x: "Without its source, all the toxic spores cannot survive."
ph33r my rod: *sigh of relief* "...so he'll be okay now... right?"
Omega19x: "It will take time to repair the damage that they have caused. But the power drain to myself is minimal compared to recent events."
Omega19x: "I can heal him completely in time. This boy will suffer no ill effects from the shadows."
ph33r my rod: "...good. Things can... go back to normal now."
Omega19x: "That... is up to the boy."
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "...wha?"
Omega19x: "Ryou's spirit is quite weary. Even if his body heals, I cannot predict what his spirit will do."
ph33r my rod: "...I see."
Omega19x: "Nor will his life... ever be... 'normal' as you put it."
Omega19x: "But that is for the realm of the gods to know, not for mortals to comprehend."
ph33r my rod: "..." *nods*
Omega19x: "Give him time to recover."
ph33r my rod: *nods again* "...I will."
Omega19x: "No other spirit has done what Ryou has accomplished. Demon, Deity or mortal. It will take time to adjust."
ph33r my rod: "...makes sense."
Omega19x: "The great gods spoke truth. It is not my place to interfere with your realm..."
Omega19x: "... But it was foretold, and so destiny must unfold."
ph33r my rod: "...so... we'll just have to see how things are when he wakes up, huh?..."
Omega19x: "He will recover."
Omega19x: *Falls back down onto the pillow*
Omega19x: *but opens his eyes one last time*
Omega19x: "... he loves you."

Omega19x: *and Ryou remains unconscious*
ph33r my rod: *still holding on to his hand, gives it a light squeeze*
Omega19x: (only the ankh has the power to get into his soul room, right?)

Omega19x: *mutters something about the nurse doing something wrong, because the results of the test couldn't possibly be right*

Omega19x: "What do you mean the microbes are dying?! What did you add to it? What didn't you add to it?!"
Omega19x: (yelling to his fellow doctors)
ph33r my rod: *blinks, then smirks to himself... if they only knew*
Omega19x: (heh, the spores are visible in this realm, the source was not)
Omega19x: (hence why it never showed up on any chest x-ray)
ph33r my rod: (( Makes sense. :x ))
Omega19x: *a gasp is heard* "...Oh my god... you're right. There's fewer in this sample than in yours... What did we put him on?"
Omega19x: "... nothing except the usual drugs to bring his vitals back under control."
Omega19x: "Before that, the last treatment attempted was to boost his immune system... It... seems to have worked doctor."
