Omega19x: *not since he left for school in the morning*

ph33r my rod: *sitting on the cough, watching TV and eating Pocky, turns and sees Ryou come in* "... Hey."

Omega19x: *walks over to the couch*

Omega19x: *smiles* "Today was a good day, Malik."

Omega19x: "I... I went by the hospital today... to talk about my bill."
Omega19x: "... And well... I think we kind of... made a deal... of sorts..."
ph33r my rod: "... A deal?" *scoots over so he can sit down*
Omega19x: "After everything that happened... well... if I agree... to continue giving them samples... so they can keep trying to solve the... the mystery of the shadow disease... they'll give me a job... as an orderly."
Omega19x: "A small stipend... and... and mostly taken off the bill."
Omega19x: "but I'll have a little extra... and that should be enough to help... to help Isis with the house payments..."
Omega19x: *looks up at Malik*
ph33r my rod: "... That... that's good, Ryou." *smiles*
Omega19x: "... I... I haven't given them an answer yet... they said I could think about it."
Omega19x: "Do you think it's a good idea?"
ph33r my rod: *nods* "You'll be able to pay off your hospital bill quicker than you would under any other circumstances..."
Omega19x: "... true."
Omega19x: "... I'd mostly be moving people around in wheelchairs, delivering food and linen, making copies, and that sort of thing... but maybe... maybe Khons powers... will be useful."
ph33r my rod: "...maybe. Just remember what I said about... being careful when using your powers, okay?"
Omega19x: *nods*
Omega19x: "... I know..."
Omega19x: "... don't let people see me use them..."
ph33r my rod: *wraps an arm around his shoulders* "... Your powers aside, you'd be really good at that, since you like helping people and all."
Omega19x: *smiles* "I do like helping people..."
Omega19x: "... and I know how bad it gets at that hospital... believe me..."
Omega19x: "... but if I take the job... I... I'll have to give up trying to get back in to school."
ph33r my rod: "Maybe it's for the best. From what I've heard, the school doesn't allow students to have part-time jobs anyway, so you wouldn't be running the risk of getting into trouble... after all, if you're not in the school, you can't get in trouble there."
Omega19x: "... you know... sometimes I think Mr. Karita really enjoys throwing me out."
Omega19x: *sigh* "He'll be disappointed not to see me there..."
ph33r my rod: "...at least you won't be getting hurt by him anymore, though."
Omega19x: "... that's true." *smile*
Omega19x: "... maybe my luck is really starting to turn around!"
Omega19x: *big smile*
ph33r my rod: *grins and gently pats his shoulder* "Maybe so. Good thing, too... you've had such horrible luck lately that I was feeling bad for you."

Omega19x: "... I... I should have really seen the school's reaction coming..."
ph33r my rod: "... It just hurts me to see those things happening to you."

ph33r my rod: "... I know. I guess some of Isis' mother henning is just rubbing off on me..." *small smile*
Omega19x: "... Maybe this is for the best."

ph33r my rod: *stands up and stretches out* "...and?" *is curious about how he'd react to kittens*
Omega19x: "... he... he doesn't really like cats... They remind him... of the pharaoh."
Omega19x: "... but I got him to hold Zahra."
Omega19x: "He was surprised at how soft she was."
ph33r my rod: "...ah." *back pops*
Omega19x: "... he freaked out a little when she started coughing..."
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "..."
Omega19x: "...I... I think she... she had a hairball... or... something... don't cats usually do that?"
ph33r my rod: "Yeah, though I dunno if she should have hairballs that early. At this age, I don't think they've learned to bathe themselves yet, so it should be Aisha who's having the hairballs..."
Omega19x: ".. dear... I... I hope she isn't sick..."
ph33r my rod: *reaches down and takes his hand* "I wouldn't worry about it too much. Her immune system probably isn't fully developed yet, so it's most likely just a little kitty cough. It should only last for a day or two at most."
Omega19x: "That's good."
ph33r my rod: (( ...and my cat just jumped up on the back of my chair and scared the crap out of me. @@; ))
Omega19x: ".. I'd... I'd hate for something to happen to Zahra."
ph33r my rod: *grins* "She'll be fine. If the 'like owner, like pet' saying is true, then she'll pull through with flying colors."
Omega19x: "... you know... sometimes I worry about that... like owner, like pet saying..."
