ph33r my rod: *looking out the window, sees a brightly-colored something floating in the sky* "...eh?"
Omega19x: "... what is it?"
Omega19x: (we're still in port, btw.)
ph33r my rod: (( Yeah, I know. Assuming they can see CocoCay from where the boat is docked. ))
Omega19x: (yup)
ph33r my rod: *squints* "...looks like a... parachute?" *blinks*
Omega19x: *is curious, and gets up to see what Malik's talking about*
ph33r my rod: *outside the window, somewhat in the distance, is a brightly-colored parachute trailing after a boat in the water*
ph33r my rod: (( I forgot how parasailing works, so yeah. XD ))
Omega19x: (you got it)
Omega19x: "... wow..."
Omega19x: "Parasailing."
ph33r my rod: "...oh, that's what that is?"
Omega19x: "... yeah... They say... it's a great way to see the island..."
ph33r my rod: "... Sounds like fun."
Omega19x: "You... going to try it?"
ph33r my rod: *nods* "You wanna come with?"
Omega19x: *looks up*
Omega19x: "... um... o..okay... "
Omega19x: "They say... it's a once in a lifetime experience..."
Omega19x: "... and... it... doesn't go nearly as high as a plane..."
ph33r my rod: "From here, it doesn't look like it goes that high at all, really..."
Omega19x: "... okay... let's try it..." *is afraid, but doesn't want to let Malik down*
ph33r my rod: *grins* "...let's go, then."
Omega19x: *and off we go, back on shore*
ph33r my rod: *magical walklapse; at parasailing place thing?*
Omega19x: "Ah, hello. Ready for your turn?" *person in charge of the parasailing line addresses them*
ph33r my rod: *nodnod*
Omega19x: "Step this way, please."
ph33r my rod: *looks at Ryou, wonders if two can go at once*
Omega19x: "Everyone flies tandem, so let's get the two of you strapped in."
ph33r my rod: *that answers his question*
Omega19x: "Let's get you two into life jackets, and with helmets. Just for safety's sake."
ph33r my rod: *nods*
Omega19x: "what... what's going to happen?"
Omega19x: "Well, after we strap you in the harness and hook you both to the parasail, the boat will start up. You try and keep the line tight, and in a few steps, you'll be airborne!"
ph33r my rod: "...coooool."
Omega19x: "Steering right or left is done by pulling on either the right or left rear risers, and how high you go is determined by how fast the boat does."
Omega19x: "And when it's time to land, the boat will slow down, and you'll descend to the water."
Omega19x: *nods*
Omega19x: "You'll take off right from the dock here."
Omega19x: *is being fastened in the harness*
ph33r my rod: *fastened in?*
Omega19x: "... are... are you ready?"
Omega19x: *slight cough*
ph33r my rod: (( How is it situated? Are they side-by-side, one in front, one in back, or what? XD *knows next to nothing about parasailing* @@; ))
Omega19x: (they're side by side, with a metal bar in front of them)
ph33r my rod: (( Kay. ))
Omega19x: (so one would control going left, and another going right, and they could hold hands)
Omega19x: "Are you both ready for the view of a lifetime?" *signals for his crewman to star t up the boat motor*
ph33r my rod: *nods*
Omega19x: *nods*
Omega19x: "When I signal, just start running towards the end of the dock. You'll be in the air before you get to the water."
Omega19x: *and... wave*
Omega19x: *holds onto the bars, and runs*
ph33r my rod: *runrunrun*
Omega19x: *woooosh! They take off!*
Omega19x: *and quickly get some height*
Omega19x: *quivers, feeling the air under his feet, closes his eyes*
Omega19x: "...eep... we're in air... we're in air... oh god..."
ph33r my rod: *inches his hand over a bit to rest on top of Ryou's, looking down at everything*
Omega19x: *you can see the island, and the crystal blue water below*
Omega19x: *there are other islands beyond this one, and you can see those too*
Omega19x: *still has eyes closed*
ph33r my rod: "...Ryou, open your eyes, or else you'll miss everything! It looks so cool from up here..."
Omega19x: "... I'm... I'm scared..."
Omega19x: *shakes*
ph33r my rod: *gently squeezes his hand* "... You're not going to fall if you look."
Omega19x: *slowly opens his eyes*
Omega19x: *and holds the bar tighter*
Omega19x: *they're now 400 feet in the air, looking down at perfect sand and surf*
ph33r my rod: "...isn't it pretty?"
Omega19x: *gasps*
Omega19x: "... oh... yes... "
Omega19x: *is terrified, but it's the most beautiful thing he's seen... (since he's looked into his yami's eyes at dinner... shot)*
ph33r my rod: (( XD ))
Omega19x: "... the... the ship looks so small..."
Omega19x: "... well... not... not too small... but... look at the pools..."
Omega19x: *looks around*
Omega19x: *that padded metal bar is going to have permanent indentions by the time someone prys Ryou's hands off of it*
ph33r my rod: *nods* "You can see the whole island from up here. There's some in the distance, too."
Omega19x: "... wow... the island... is... smaller than I.... than I thought..."
Omega19x: *there are a couple other parasailers out, with chutes that are full of bright colors*
Omega19x: "... wow..."
Omega19x: *talk about an adrenaline rush*
ph33r my rod: *grins* "This is amazing, huh..."
Omega19x: "... yes... it... it is... amazing..." *cough*
Omega19x: *the ride, however, is short. It only lasts about five minutes. They start to descend."
ph33r my rod: *whee*
Omega19x: *shakes and quivers*
Omega19x: "... what's happeneing?"
ph33r my rod: "We're going back down now, I think..."
Omega19x: "... oh... the... the ride is over... all..allready?"
ph33r my rod: "Yeah, I guess." *pouts a little, it was so short*
Omega19x: "... it... it was beautiful..." *cough*
Omega19x: *looks at Malik, and manages a smile, despite being as scared as he is of flying*
Omega19x: *perhaps he is a little less afraid*
ph33r my rod: *looks at Ryou and grins back*
Omega19x: *blushes a little*
ph33r my rod: *landage?*
Omega19x: *the boat slows down, and they make their landing in the water, splashing a bit, but floating thanks to their lifejackets*
Omega19x: *the boat swings back around, to pick them up*
Omega19x: "... brr... I... should have worn my swim trunks... I... didn't realize...we were going to get wet..."
ph33r my rod: "You and me both."
Omega19x: *get picked up by boat*
Omega19x: *and taken back to the dock, nicely wet*
ph33r my rod: "...probably ought to get out of these wet clothes. It's kinda cold."
Omega19x: *nods*
Omega19x: *coughing*
Omega19x: "... We'd better... get back..."
ph33r my rod: *nods*
Omega19x: *coughs again*
Omega19x: *walk walk drip walk*
ph33r my rod: *drip walk walk walk etc*
Omega19x: *drip cough walk cough*
Omega19x: *back to ship, and to deck nine, where our room is*
ph33r my rod: *once back in room, peels off his wet shirt* "... That got cold, walking out there. I could use a hot shower or something, get warmed up again..."
Omega19x: *coughing, looks up, and nods*
Omega19x: *is already taking off his wet shirt*
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "... Um. You can go first if you want to."
Omega19x: "... no... you... you said... said it first..."
Omega19x: *takes a towel, and starts drying off*
Omega19x: *coughs*
ph33r my rod: *walks over to him* "... I don't think you should be sitting around soaking wet like that, especially considering your condition. Go in there, get warmed up. I'll be fine waiting..."
Omega19x: *nods slowly* "... okay... if... if you're sure..."
ph33r my rod: *smiles*
Omega19x: *goes into bathroom, and turns on shower... yada yada yada... just think, he's naked in there, Malik.*
ph33r my rod: (( XDDD ))
ph33r my rod: *stands in front of window, not thinking about Ryou being naked in there >P*
Omega19x: *a few min. later, Ryou comes out, wrapped in a towel, his wet hair dripping. The bathroom is all warm and steamy*
Omega19x: "...I... I left my... my clothes... out here..."
Omega19x: *blushes tremendously*
ph33r my rod: *blinks*
Omega19x: *blushes, and opens a drawer, and takes out some pajamas.*
ph33r my rod: *grabs some clothes of his own out of a drawer* "... Um. I'll go and get my shower, so you can get changed..." *blushes a little*
Omega19x: *still blushing* "... okay... it's... warmed up for you..."
ph33r my rod: *nods and goes into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him, gets in shower, etc... now it's your turn to think about Malik being naked in there >P*
Omega19x: *puts on pajamas, and buttons them up*
ph33r my rod: *comes out a few minutes later, already dressed, and toweling his hair dry*
Omega19x: *sits back on the bed, coughing, and not feeling all that spectacular*
ph33r my rod: *drapes the towel over his shoulders and sits down on the bed next to Ryou* "...that's much better."
Omega19x: *nods* "much... warmer..."
ph33r my rod: *looks down at him* "... That was pretty cool, though. I don't think I've done anything like that before."
Omega19x: *leans into Malik's shoulder.* "... it... it was pretty... Scary... but... definitley something I'm... well... glad I did..."
ph33r my rod: *wraps an arm around him, nuzzling face into Ryou's still-damp hair* "I'm glad you came with me."
Omega19x: *smiles* "... me too..."
Omega19x: "... or... I would have never... opened my eyes..."
Omega19x: *cough*
ph33r my rod: "..." *hesitates for a moment, then pulls Ryou into his lap, resting his forehead on his shoulder* "...wouldn't have been half as fun without you there."
Omega19x: *blushes at the sudden change in sitting position*
Omega19x: "... I'm... glad you had fun..."
Omega19x: *smiles*
ph33r my rod: (( Brb. ))
Omega19x: *long string of coughs*
ph33r my rod: *lifts his head from Ryou's shoulder* "..."
Omega19x: "... sorry..."
ph33r my rod: "..." *gently wraps arms around his waist, rests chin on his shoulder* "...you're gonna be okay soon, Ryou. I promise."
