Honda lay on the bed in the darkened room, holding a pillow over his head. The aspirin he had taken had done nothing for his headache. He was too preoccupied with ignoring the pain to notice the door opening.

Otogi opened the door and knocked after, defeating the purpose. "Anyone home?" He noticed Honda sprawled out on the bed writhing in pain and put two and two together. "Hangover again?"

"Huh?" Honda asked intelligently, looking up from under the pillow. "Wha you mean 'again'?" His thoughts and his tongue were still rather fuzzy at the moment, but he was fairly certain he had never been in this much pain before. Surely he'd remember something like that.

Otogi shook his head. "Nothing." He wandered over to his own bed and flipped through the book he had lying on his pillow. "I just figured it had to be something like that, because you're never usually in the room."

"Oh, right. Sorry, I guess I haven't slept in my own room since this trip began. You pretty much got your own room out of the deal, though, so I guess you're probably not too upset about it." Honda continued watching Otogi rather than pulling the pillow back down.

He shrugged and rolled over on his back. "I don't really mind. I was just kind of paranoid about why they stuck us in a room together, of all people," he paused. "Not that I care or anything." And came another shrug.

"...Okay." Something was going on here, Honda was sure, but he figured it was better not to ask. "Who did you think you were going to room with?"

"I figured they'd have stuck me with Mokuba, since they knew we were dating."

"You could have asked him. I think the only reason they gave him a single room was because he threw such a fit about it on the airplane, before he knew you were going to be here." Honda sighed. "I can't see the clock from here, what time is it?"

"That makes sense," he shrugged, putting his hands behind his head. He glanced at the clock. "It's around 4."

"Damn, I can't take more medicine yet." Honda moved the pillow so that he could breathe better, then rubbed his temples. "I need to remember the next time I'm around him to leave before he gets that drunk."

"You might want to leave pretty quick then; it doesn't take him long to get drunk."

"So I've noticed." Honda rolled over on the bed. "Still, there's a huge difference between drunk and where he was at last night."

Otogi raised an eyebrow at him. "I don't think I even want to know."

"Probably not." Honda sighed. "And the whole time you've been sitting there, the only thing we've talked about is Mokuba. I don't think my head can take much more. New topic, please."

Otogi scratched his head. "Ha, sorry. Where have you been lately? I've barely seen you the whole time we've been on this cruise."

"Pretty much everywhere at some point. I've lost track of how many times I ran into Ryou this week."

"Ha. You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen Mokuba."

"Hm, a lot more often than I have? I'll completely believe that." Honda shifted on the bed and muffled a small groan.

Otogi went and sat down next to Honda's bed, making a place on the floor. "Are you gonna be alright?"

"Why isn't the damn medicine working so I can get some sleep?" Honda slowly shifted again and looked at Otogi. "I'll survive."

"Are you sure? I'll stay in here and get you some more medicine," he said, looking up at him.

"Yes, I'm sure I'll survive." Honda sighed again and gave up trying to get more comfortable. "Don't feel you need to change your plans on my account. If the medicine hasn't started working now, then I don't think it'll work any better later. Maybe if I just lay here long enough, I'll pass out from exhaustion or something."

He shrugged. "I have nothing else better to do. I was planning on either reading or taking a shower anyway."

"Oh." Honda looked away nervously. "Okay, I guess, if you don't mind me laying here being miserable."

Otogi shrugged. "I've done it before, so I know how it goes. I'd rather be here in case you need anything, anyway," he said sheepishly, drawing on the carpet with his finger.

"Whatever you want to do, then." Honda turned again to face the opposite wall and tugged at the pillow again. "You have enough light to read? I guess I'll survive if you want to turn on a lamp or something."

He shrugged. "I've read it three times over already. I don't care if there's lights or not."

Honda stopped tugging on the pillow at this and glanced back at Otogi. "You that bored?"

"Well I hadn't talked to you all week - which is one of the reasons why I came back in here in the first place - and I wanted to talk to you. So yeah, I guess." He sighed. "But. You're still trying to get over your headache, so I see no reason to stay," he said, getting up and heading to the door.

"I thought you said you'd rather be here if I needed something." Honda turned yet again to face the doorway, wincing slightly as his shoulder hit the bed. "Wha you wanna talk to me about anyways?"

"You know how quickly I change my mind on everything," he shrugged, quickly sitting back down. It's like his brain turned to mush when he was with him. "Nothing, really. But I haven't seen you in a while so...yeah."

"Right, I guess before the bon voyage party thing, we hadn't seen each other since..." Honda trailed off as he tried to think when they had seen each other. "Since...the mall." Honda rubbed one of his temples again and gave Otogi a small smile. "Heh, sorry, swiss cheese brain and all that."

Otogi's cheeks turned a bit red when he mentioned the mall. Oh, that infamous kiss that he would never forget. "Yeah...the mall. Strange place to meet up, yes?" he laughed, scratching his head nervously.

"No, not really. I meet up with lots of people there. I usually don't buy anything, so I'm sure security just loves me, but it makes for a decent place to see people, either by accident or on purpose." Honda stared at the ceiling for a few moments. "Heh, I bet security would love it even more if I got a job there."

"I'm surprised you don't work there; it's like you almost live there already." He laughed, brushing his hair behind his ear.

Honda glanced over. "I'm not really that bad, am I?"

"Naaww, it's just like you're almost always there. Makes me wonder if you have a life."

"A life? Why would I want one of those?"

"Yeah, I guess you're right; I don't have one either. And look how hot I still am?" he smirked, flipping his hair.

"Eh...right." Not quite the response Honda had expected. "I think I'm out of things to say about the mall. What else can we talk about?" Honda went back to staring at the ceiling. "Hm...what's that book you're reading about?"

Otogi shrugged, getting up and plopping himself down across from Honda on the bed. "My book? It's a sci-fi book; you probably wouldn't be interested."

"Tell me anyways. I'll let you know if you're making my headache better or worse."

"It's called 'Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed.' It's a really weird story; I don't know why I like it. But it's about this family who goes to Mars and starts turning into aliens. Ray Bradbury. Bound to be freaky."

"People turning into Martians, huh? Sounds interesting." Honda looked back to Otogi. "Didn't know you read that kinda stuff. What else?"

"What else do I read or what else about the book?" he blinked, handing the book over to him so he could take a look.

"Which ever you'd like to talk about." Honda glanced at the book without bothering to take it from Otogi's hand. "Hm, I guess...what else do you read?"

"Ha. A lot of stuff. Which is weird, because...you know, not everyone thinks I'm the 'reading type.' I like reading murder mysteries and sci-fi stories, really. Dramas just seem to draw me in," he laughed, taking his hair down before he got too hot. "But then again, I'm used to drama so that could be why."

Honda continued to watch Otogi. "Really?" He gave a small smile, despite his headache. "Tell me more."

"About..?" Otogi smiled, moving closer to Honda.

"Anything you want to talk about. I'll stop you if I don't like the topic." Honda looked away for a moment. "Listening to you is making my headache a little more bearable."

"So you just like the sound of my voice? Coz you know...I can talk you fucking EAR off." He smirked.

"Eh...no, I think I want to keep my ear." Honda stared in confusion. "Or is this one of those things that makes more sense when I can think properly?"

"I'd say you might need to be able to think properly."

"Ah, okay. Go ahead and talk as much as you like. I'll say something if I want you to stop." Honda went back to staring at the ceiling. "Oh, and don't take it personally if I fall asleep while you're talking. I'm exhausted, and I probably would have fallen asleep hours ago if I didn't hurt so much."

Otogi just nodded and stared at him. He had the perfect chance to kiss him and embrace him, but he just couldn't bring himself to it. He was having a hangover and that might make it worse. "Um, alright," was all that managed to come out of his mouth.

Honda closed his eyes for a minute, then opened them again to look over at Otogi. "And just so we're clear, I'm not going to be quizzed about this later, right?" he teased. "I'm not sure how much I'd be able to remember even if I tried."

"Nah, of course not," he laughed softy, watching Honda as he slightly closed his eyes. "Though...can I ask you something?"

"Sure, ask away."

"Did that kiss at the mall mean anything to you?" And now starts the awkwardness.

Honda was silent for several minutes, letting his eyes slip shut. "I thought there wasn't going to be a quiz," he finally said quietly, eyes still shut.

"Forget I asked," Otogi said, putting his hands up in an "I give up" gesture.

Honda couldn't muster the energy to open his eyes again. "Okay, consider it forgotten. This means you're not going to talk at me, doesn't it?"

"If you don't want me to," he shrugged.

"I already said I wanted you to. I'm just laying here being difficult and acting like a general nuisance. If you don't like the idea, you don't have to talk."

He shrugged. "I'm fine just watching you writhe in misery."

"Figures." Honda pulled the pillow back over his face and held it close. "Hope you enjoy the show then."

"I was kidding. Have you not ever heard of sarcasm?"

Honda lifted up the pillow and glared. "No." He sighed and set the pillow down next to him. "I think being hungover has taken away most of my ability to get sarcasm."

"If you want me to leave you alone, I will. I guess I just don't know how to act, since I've never seen you like this."

"Only if you want to leave. I don't mind if you stay, in fact I'd like you to stay and talk to me, as long as you don't mind that it's pretty much a given that I'm going to act like a jerk. It's all up to you to decide what to do."

"Well as long as your hangover's still there, that's expected. But just because I'm so nice, I'll stay with you."

"Thanks." Honda smiled. "Are you planning on talking or just watching me?"

"A little bit of both," he smirked. And possibly some other things....

Honda's smile fell. He wasn't sure he liked the look of that smirk. "Why do I get the feeling that trying to sleep might not be the best idea after all? Eh, I'm too tired to care at this point if you're planning to pull a prank on me as soon as I pass out." Honda looked back to the ceiling and closed his eyes.

"What makes you think I'm going to sneak and do anything?" He looked around innocently at their room.

"No idea. I know too many people who would?" Honda suggested. "Maybe I know the wrong type of people."

Otogi laughed. "Just lay down; maybe if you get some sleep, you'll feel better."

"I am laying down already, and I am trying to fall asleep." Honda sighed again. "I get what you're saying, though. Like I said, hearing you talk is making me feel a little better. That's part of why I suggested you keep talking, so that maybe I'd be able to relax enough to rest."

He nodded. "Want me to take that trenchcoat for you? You look awfully hot," he said as he removed the heavy clothing article from his shoulders. He stood there for a moment, watching as he breathed and how his shirt clung tightly to his muscles.

"...I didn't even notice I was still wearing it, that's weird," Honda remarked as he sat up and slipped off the article of clothing. He laid back down and started to close his eyes again when he felt Otogi watching him. He looked over again. "What? Is something wrong with my shirt?"

"N-no. I was just noticing how good it looks on you. Unless that's a little weird. Which it probably is. Sorry," he rubbed the back of his neck, realizing he was rambling.

"...Okay," Honda was quite confused. "I going to pretend that made sense, and not think about it too much. Thinking equals bad at the moment. So pick something, anything to talk about now." He closed his eyes and smiled a little. "You could ramble about your clothes, and I wouldn't really care at this point."

Otogi snorted. "My clothes? By Ra, if I talked about that, I'd bore you to death."

"First thing that came to mind, that's all. You can talk about whatever you like, not only what I suggest. And I don't mind if you bore me to death, I'm trying to fall asleep, remember?"

Otogi laughed. I guess that's right. He watched as Honda turned over on his side to face him, eyes still closed. For a moment he even wondered if he should say anything; he looked so peaceful laying there and he didn't want to disturb him. His lips curved into a playful smile. "I'm glad I came on this cruise."

"I'm glad too," Honda replied without thinking. He sighed quietly. "'Though, I could do without this bed being so uncomfortable. I'm not even sure if it's me or the bed that has the problem." He was quiet for a moment. "I'm sure you're having fun listening to me complaining about being miserable. Please, fill the silence so I don't have to."

"Why didn't you tell me? Take my bed, really. It'll save me the pain of hearing you complain any more than you are. My bed hasn't given me any problems, so feel free to take it," he shrugged, "I wouldn't mind being uncomfortable for once."

Honda opened his eyes and looked over at Otogi in surprise. "Huh? What the hell you mean, you wouldn't mind being uncomfortable for once?" He shook his head. "Nevermind, stupid question. I think I'll just stay in this bed for now. I haven't had any complaints about any of the other beds I've slept in here, so the problem is probably me. Besides, I'm too tired to get out of bed now."

"Suit yourself," he shrugged, getting up. "I'm going to make something to drink. You want anything while I'm up?"

"Nah, that's okay," Honda replied and yawned. "I don't think I need anything more except some sleep." He shut his eyes and snuggled into the pillow. "I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted you to keep talking, though. Or are you waiting to see if I'll beg?"

He shrugged. "Maybe, but I'm just trying to keep myself preoccupied or else I'll fall asleep too."

"You'd have to be pretty tired to fall asleep talking."

"I've done it before, so I wouldn't put it past me."

"Would it really be that big a problem if you did fall asleep?"

"If anyone needs sleep, it's me," he laughed. "I've kind of had....insomnia lately. Yeah. Not good."

Honda opened his eyes and looked over. "What's wrong?"

"I...don't know. I've just been losing sleep lately," he shrugged.

"You should come lay down then. We're both tired, so we both should try to get some sleep. That makes sense, right?"

"Um...okay."

"You going to lay down over there or over here?" Honda closed his eyes and tried to settle into a slightly more comfortable position. "Doesn't really matter to me, I'm just curious."

Otogi's eyes widened. This seemed a bit odd. Usually it was Otogi making the moves on Honda. And now it was switched. "Uh...I can come over there, I guess. If you really really want me too."

"Don't care." Honda shrugged slightly. "If you're tired, you should lay down somewhere. Just figure the bed is better than passing out on the floor." He yawned again. "Beds are good. Sleep is good."

He laughed and climbed over the bed frame, getting comfortable on the opposite side of the bed. "Yeah. This is good."

"See?" Honda smiled sleepily. "I'm happy, you're happy. And my headache is feeling so much better, I don't think I'll need any medicine to get to sleep. Hopefully you can sleep now too."

"Hopefully my insomnia won't kick in again," he said with a nervous laugh.

"Mmm, I hope it doesn't." Honda pulled at his pillow and shifted closer to the middle of the bed with his eyes closed.

"Yeah, me too. I really need more sleep. But...I think I'll be okay; I've calmed down some," he said, turning on his side.

Honda opened his eyes blearily. "What did you need to calm down from?" he asked quietly as he scooted marginally closer.

He shrugged. "I've been thinking about a lot of stuff and it's been stressing me out. Plus, the whole Mokuba thing made it worse."

Honda nodded and moved back. "That makes sense. Mokuba is very stressful." He closed his eyes and tried again to fall asleep, figuring it was best not to ask what Otogi was talking about.

Otogi shrugged, "I'll be okay." He positioned himself so that he was looking to the ceiling. "It's amazing; we've been here a few weeks and already it feels like forever," he laughed, moving 'involuntarily' closer as he spoke.

"Heh, it's only been like a week since we left port. And soon it will be time to go back." Honda was too tired to care what he was muttering while half-asleep. "Not sure if that's good or bad. You had fun, right?"

"I had a lot of fun! But I barely talked to anyone," he shrugged. "And I really wanted to hang out with you a lot, but it's like we never saw each other." His head sank down in the pillow a little bit.

"Guess I was a little hard to find during the past week, since I didn't stay in one place for very long. We can hang out when we get back to Domino, probably the best place to find me will be the mall. What all have you been doing since the last time we talked?"

"Sure, okay." Wow. Sounded like a date. "The last time we talked has been a while ago," he said with a nervous laugh. "I dunno. This and that, the same I usually do."

"Fine, avoid the question if you like. I'm too tired to care." Honda gave him a small smile. "Heh, I asked you to talk to me to make my head stop hurting, and I think I ended up doing more babbling than you did." He yawned and pulled his pillow even closer. "I'll stop now and let us both sleep."

Otogi nodded. "It sounds like a good idea to me," he said, starting to doze off.
