Mana would've been her usual hyper self if she wouldn't of ran out of sugar, her love! Grabbing as many sugar bags she could, she placed them all in her basket and smiled. "Sugaaaaar.."

Isis, having recently developed a fondness for baking - after all, the weather was getting colder, and baking tended to warm the house up - was currently browsing on the baked goods aisle for nothing in particular. Whatever caught her eye would do nicely.

As she examined a box of muffin mix, she saw something moving out of the corner of her eye. Having been told to keep her guard up at all times, especially during hours such as this, she turned her head in the direction of the movement. Isis sighed in relief, seeing that it was just a young girl hanging around the "sugar" section of the aisle. A second look showed that it was a girl of Egyptian descent, much like herself - quite a rarity in Japan.

Isis' lack of a social life, however, didn't tip her off as to exactly who it was.

Mana was bouncing up and down. "YAY. I HAVE MY SUGAR. MY JOY! MY LOVE. YAAAAY!" She started to dance like she didn't care just out of the blue, until she saw another woman that short of looked like her.

Saying with a beaming smile, she said. "HELLO!!!" With waving her hand and still having her basket filled with sugar bags still.

The sudden noise startled Isis, almost causing her to drop the box she was holding. At first, she didn't respond - people didn't usually talk to her; the girl was probably calling someone else - but shen she turned to look at Mana again, saw the big smile on her face, and deduced that she was speaking to her.

"... Hello," Isis said quietly, putting the muffin mix into her basket.

"How just are you on this wonderful day?" Mana said, with another smile on her face. It was almost impossible to wipe that smile off of her face because of her abounding happiness and hyperness. She blinked and then she walked with Isis, smiling, and slipping some of the sugar in her mouth, smiling. "Mm! Sugar!!!"

"... Fine, thank you," Isis replied, slightly intimidated by Mana's... energy. Somehow, the girl reminded her of Malik whenever he ate too much Pocky... "You seem to be... doing well, yourself..." she said, watching with a raised eyebrow as Mana swallowed a handful of sugar.

"Yes, I am. I just came here not too long ago, but it seems that I'm fitting in pretty well!" Mana said, with a bright smile, before she gave into the temptations of sugar, and started to eat another little handful of sugar in her mouth.

Isis blinked as Mana ate another handful of sugar - how was it possible for someone to do that? - but a small, yet somewhat nervous, smile formed on her face. "Oh, you're new here? Where are you from...?" Probably Egypt, but Isis thought she'd ask, just to be sure.

Had she used the Millennium Tauk to look into the past, she wouldn't have needed to ask; she would've known the girl's name, whereabouts, status within the Pharaoh's kingdom, and things of that nature. But considering what the Tauk had been doing as of recently, Isis wasn't even going to consider using it...

"Mm...Ancient Egypt...when Pharaoh Atemu reigned." Mana said, with another bright smile and she then would eat another handful of sugar. "Wait...aren't you the reincarnation or whatever of Priestess Aishizu?" Mana tilted her head in sort of a cute matter.

Oh, so this girl was another one from the past - oh, wait, that Mana. The other self of the one who had been here before. She would definitely have to inform Mahaado of this. "... Yes, that's correct," Isis said, her smile morphing into a calmer one.

"Oh, hello then!" She smiled brightly, and then she said. "It's been so long since I've seen you!" She said very happy and in a chipper tone of voice. She was quite happy and quite content.

Isis could feel her normally poised and almost-regal demeanor fading slightly as she spoke with Mana. "Yes, it has been quite a while..." She bit her lip, wondering of she should tell the other girl about the current happenings going on in this time - namely, the existance of the other selves. "... How are you adjusting to things in this time?" Isis recalled that it had taken both Seth and Mahaado some time to adjust to current technology; perhaps Mana had the same problem?

"I'm adjusting sort of well, but it's not like Ancient Egypt at all. Using a re..fridge..rator...nothing's like it was five thousand years ago. I want to go back when it was simple, no tec..h..nolo..gy." Mana said, with another smile.

"Well, I'm sure you'll find that the more you're in this time, and the more you figure things out, the easier it will be," Isis said. "Technology makes things a lot easier than they were in the past, and it's much easier to communicate and recieve information..."

"I suppose it'll get better as I go along, but it seems that it's annoying for a little bit, oh well!" Mana said, with another bright, cheery smile, suddenly seeing some cookies. "Cookies! Candy!!" She piled them all into her basket, smiling.

Isis couldn't help but smile as she watched Mana. It seemed that the girl's happiness was rubbing off on her. While they were in the area, Isis took a couple of boxes of Pocky and added them to her basket - which, in turn, put something into her mind. "... You remind me of my brother, to an extent."

"Brother?" Mana thought back to her Ancient Egypt days, and then said. "He wasn't in Ancient Egypt--not at all..." Mana tilted her head slightly, and shrugged. "Oh, well! How do I remind you of him?"

"Well... when Malik eats lots of sweets, he tends to get rather... hyperactive," Isis replied. Of course, 'eating lots of sweets' translated to 'consuming a large amount of alcohol', but Isis found it unnecessary to mention that, especially since it didn't happen all that often. But in any case, the two acted quite similar...

"Oh...I see." Mana nodded, as she then said. "Has...Priest Maahado come back...?" Mana tilted her head, and blinked a little.

Isis nodded. "Yes, he has. In fact, I spoke with him last night." She dropped a couple more items into her basket before turning to Mana again, smiling. "I think he'll be pleased, if not a little awkward, to find that... both... of his apprentices are now in this time."

Mana's eyes widened, as she beamed. "YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!" She bounced up and down, smiling widely.

Isis winced a little at the sheer volume of Mana's shriek, but the smile remained on her face. It had been a long time since she'd seen anyone this happy, especially with the current events.

Mana blinked just a little, and then she shrugged. She was almost positive something was wrong, oh well... Blinking, she put some chocolate into her basket, and then said. "Shall we go to the checkout, Aishizu?" She smiled widely.

Smiling at the use of her past name, Isis nodded again. She'd gotten what she came here for; it was probably best that she got home soon. "Yes, let's... Mana."

"Okay!" She said, with a smile, and then she walked up cheerfully to the checkout placing her items onto the black belt, still smiling, as she said. "Hello Ms. Checkout Lady!" She smiled brightly.

Before long, both Mana and Isis had their items checked out, and the two were now walking out of the store into the cool night air. "Where are you living right now, Mana?" Isis asked, clutching her grocery bag in her hands. "I'll give you a ride there; it's not safe to be out walking at this time of night."

"Uh...." Mana blinked a little. "In a hotel room." Mana said with a little smile. "I plan on being in an apartment soon." She said, with a bright smile on her face.

"Oh..." Isis replied, her face falling a little. It didn't seem very right for someone who'd just been brought into this time to be staying in a hotel, at least in her opinion. "If you'd like... you could stay with us for a few days, until you get your apartment secured. Because hotel rooms can cost a lot of money these days..."

"Oh, thank you, Aishizu!" Mana cheerfully said, as she then smiled brightly at her. This was a really good time to arrive at this time period--according to her.

Isis returned the smile, as they walked toward her car. She wasn't entirely sure why she'd invited Mana to stay at her house; perhaps it was because two of their hosuemates would be taking a short vacation during the weekend, and the house would be a little lonely? That made logical sense. "Do you have anything up at the hotel that you need to get...?"

"Yes, I actually do." Mana said, with another smile. She could probably of gotten it in just five minutes, but it'd be sort of fun to look if people left anything in the room.

"All right, I'll run you over there and you can pick up your things, and then we'll be heading back to the house," Isis said, stifling a small yawn. It was rather late; she needed to get home to rest up for work the next day.

"Okay, sorry if I'm making you stay up extra hours, Aishizu." Mana said, with another little smile, but she then said. "What's that?" She pointed to the car that they were walking in. "Is it a horse?"

Isis chuckled a little bit before opening the passenger-side door of the car. "It's a car, Mana. You'll be seeing a lot of these in this time. It's a mode of transportation, so it's like a horse, only it... isn't a living, breathing thing."

"Oh....I get it..." She blinked, as she sat down. "Feels more comfortable than a horse would..." She said, with another smile.

"Yes, it's a lot smoother than riding in a horse," Isis said, moving around to the driver's side and getting in. She reached around her seat, dropping the grocery bag into the back seat, before starting up the car. "It's a lot easier to take care of, as well..."

"Oh, I see..." Mana blinked again, as she smiled. "I'll be sure to go easy, since it looks like you're pretty tired there, Aishizu!" She said, with another smile.

Isis smiled, pulling out of the parking lot. "Yes, it's been quite a long day..." After several moments of driving, she asked, "what hotel are you staying at?"

"Uh..." Blinking again. "OH. It's a hotel that has many pretty lights, and it has black on the building."

... That description was rather vague, but Isis knew what she was talking about. There was only one hotel she knew of with black on the building, and a few moments later, she was pulling up in front of it. "I'll wait here; you run up to your room and grab your things, okay?"

"Alrighty then!" She smiled, and then she got out, walking through the doors, she STILL couldn't get used to it, after using it countlessly. Walking to her room, she put the key into the door, opening it. "Hmm...oh! YES. THAT'LL BE EASY!" She gathered up all of her things into the bags she had, and then put them all on her back, also taking her staff. Closing the door, she walked again to the reception area, doing the check-out procedure, and then she walked out. "Alright, Aishizu!!" She smiled brightly again, walking out to the car.

Isis smiled as she saw Mana come back out. "Just put them in the back seat," she said, pointing to said seat where her grocery bag wasn't occupying the space.

"Alrighty!" She put everything into the back of the car, still having her staff in her hands, sitting back down. "Thank you, again!" She said, with another smile on her face, meaning that she was quite thankful.

Several minutes and lots of idle chatter later, Isis was pulling up in the driveway. "...here we are." She turned off the ignition and got out of the car, reaching into the backseat for her grocery bag. "Do you need any help with your things?"

"Um, if you wouldn't mind." She smiled, and then she said. "I guess it wouldn't be any particular harm to see your brother!" She said, with another smile.

"He's probably asleep already," Isis said, taking a couple of Mana's bags in her hands. "He'd fallen asleep on the couch when I left..." She waited for Mana to grab the rest of her bags, then walked up to the door, opening it.

The living room was empty; that had meant that while Isis was gone, Malik had gone up to bed, taking Ryou with him. "Just set your things anywhere; I'll go find some blankets and pillows for you..."

"Okay!" Mana placed her items in the living room. "I feel like I should repay you, Aishizu...really." Mana said, with another smile at the Egyptian.

"That's okay," Isis said, setting Mana's other bags down with the others. She walked into the kitchen, setting her bag on the counter, before walking back out into the living room. "It just didn't seem right to me that someone who's so new to this era was having to stay in a hotel..." With another smile, she disappeared into the hallway, bringing out a blanket and a couple of pillows.

Setting them down on the couch, she turned to Mana again. "You're welcome to watch TV or something if you'd like; I really need to be getting to bed soon..."

"Ahh, I see. I see...and yes, after my adventures..." Mana said, with another smile. "TV?" She blinked just a little. "That little box in the room, I thought that it was something that was there for decoration.."

"...oh, right." Isis picked the remote control up off of the coffee table, turning the TV on. "No, it's used to view various programs. I suppose it could be like viewing an ancient Egyptian performance, except with much more variety and in a compact size." She showed the remote to Mana, pointing at the channel buttons. "You can use this to change what you're watching to something different."

"Oh...okay. Seems easy enough." Mana smiled, and then placed the remote in her hand, pressing the channel buttons. "It is easy!"

Isis smiled. "If you find something that looks interesting, then you can watch it..." She stifled another yawn with the back of her hand. "... I'm going to go to bed. I'll see you tomorrow morning."

"Alrighty, then!" She said, with a smile, being interested. It'd take some time to get used to this era. A long time.

"And when you're ready to sleep, there are those blankets and pillows for you." Another smile, and Isis disappeared down the hallway, and into her bedroom. She would have to leave a note for the other residents of the house that they'd have a guest for a few days...

"Alrighty, then. Goodnight, Aishizu." Mana said, with another smile, confused of what this era was like, but she still enjoyed it.
