Omega19x: *Malik, Ryou, and Isis have gone, with Ryou's directions, to a Christmas tree farm at the edge of Domino City. It's time to explain Christmas, and start buying necessary decorations!*

Omega19x: "... okay... This is where you buy live Christmas trees to decorate."
Omega19x: "We need to find one that will fit that space in your living room, Isis... that's not too big, or too small..."
Omega19x: "you know... one that's just the right size, with lots of branches for ornaments!"
ph33r my rod: "Hmm..." *thinks for a moment* "There might not be much room for a very wide one, but a tall one would be nice... you know how high the ceiling in the living room is, after all." *smiles*
Omega19x: "... okay."
Omega19x: "Then let's look for a really tall one."
ph33r my rod: *starts looking around the tree farm and rubs his arms to keep warm, muttering to himself* "Something tall, but not that wide..."
Omega19x: "...hmm..."
Omega19x: *looks* "Ooh! Isis! How about this one!"
Omega19x: *points to one that is tall, but not that wide.*
ph33r my rod: *looks over at the tree* "...oh, that one's very nice. It's tall, but short enough to be easy to decorate..."
Omega19x: "yeah... we only need a chair to reach the top.
ph33r my rod: *wanders over to them, having gone off to look by himself a for a few moments* "...hey, that one looks pretty good."
Omega19x: "... not too expensive, as far as trees go."
ph33r my rod: "...I think this one may be our best bet, if we look anywhere else and don't find anything better, somebody else may take it."
Omega19x: "okay. Malik, then... we need to get it to the car... while Isis pays the tree guy..."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Okay. Uh... is it rooted?"
Omega19x: "Oh, no. They've all been cut. See?" *points down* "It's on a stand."
Omega19x: "They bring them here by truck."
ph33r my rod: "Ohh, I see now."
ph33r my rod: (( *hasn't gotten a real tree in years* @@;; ))
Omega19x: (me neither. I made that up.)
ph33r my rod: (( XDDDD ))
Omega19x: (I assume they do, but I don't know.)
Omega19x: "How can we get it in the car?"
ph33r my rod: "Uhhhh..." *blinks and thinks for a moment* "... Strap it to the hood of it? I doubt we could cram it in the back seat or the trunk..." *headscratch*(
Omega19x: "That could work..."
Omega19x: *walks over to the tree with the vain attempt at trying to pick it up. No chance*
ph33r my rod: *examines the tree* "...here, I'll pick up the bottom and you grab the top as it falls back, okay?"
Omega19x: "... o..okay..."
Omega19x: *gets on the other side of the tree*
Omega19x: "...ready..."
ph33r my rod: *grabs the base of the tree and slowly heaves it up, toppling it onto its side*
Omega19x: *tries to catch it, and falls, with the tree on top of him, onto the ground, as if you couldn't just see that happening*
ph33r my rod: *looks over his shoulder, struggling to hold the tree up* "You okay?"
Omega19x: *tries to move out from under it, but is a little stuck*
ph33r my rod: *loses his balance and topples over to the side, landing on the tree and rolling it off of Ryou* "Ack!"
Omega19x: "...ow..."
Omega19x: "Pine needles are... are really scratchy like that..."
ph33r my rod: *spits out pine needles* "... Maybe we should get some help with this." *arm is caught under the tree*
Omega19x: *some tree guys walk over, and start picking up the tree. They came with Isis, when she paid.*
Omega19x: "... I... I guess we... we didn't need to do that... did we..."
ph33r my rod: *blinks and looks at Malik and Ryou, helping them up* "Are you two alright?"
Omega19x: "...um... I... I think so..." *just a hanfull of scratches all over his hands and face, nothing much*
ph33r my rod: *plucks pine needles out of his hair* "Peachy."
Omega19x: *tree guy bends down to Ryou, and offers a hand.* "You know, little lady, you could have waited for a big strong guy like me to help you."
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "..."
Omega19x: "I'm a guy!"
ph33r my rod: (( YAY RUNNING GAG! ))
Omega19x: *tree guy blinks, and backs slowly away*
Omega19x: *sighs and picks pine needles from his hair*
ph33r my rod: *facepalm*
Omega19x: "well, we have a Christmas tree now..."
ph33r my rod: *nods and watches as the tree guys get it strapped to the top of Isis' car* "Yeah, now we just need some stuff to put on it."
Omega19x: "We can buy that in a store..."
Omega19x: "They sell Christmas decorations almost everywhere... like... the Wall-to-Wall Mart."
ph33r my rod: (( *dead* ))
ph33r my rod: "Oooh, okay."
Omega19x: "We'll need lights... and ornaments... and other things... oh, i'll show you when we get there!"
Omega19x: *smiles, and bounces to the car*
ph33r my rod: *magical drivelapse~?*

Omega19x: *arriving at the Wall-to-Wall Mart!*
ph33r my rod: *gets out of the car* "Why don't you two go look for things to decorate the tree with? I'm going to see if I can find any pretty things for the yard..."
Omega19x: "hmm... Christmas decorations... Aisle 393... Okay. Yard decorations... I think they're somewhere in the 70's..."
Omega19x: "If you get lost, grab a map..."
ph33r my rod: (( ...good god, that place is huge. ))
Omega19x: (heh.)
ph33r my rod: "Okay. I'll meet up with you two in a while, then?"
Omega19x: "Okay..."
Omega19x: *starts pulling Malik quickly towards the Christmas decorations.*
ph33r my rod: *dragged along, smiling a little at how... energetic Ryou is*
Omega19x: "Oh, we can put lights... and... and icecicles, and snowflakes... and... and candy canes!"
Omega19x: *points up and down the aisles*
ph33r my rod: "How much do people put on the trees?" *headscratch*
Omega19x: "um... some people put a little... some people put a lot."
Omega19x: "Some people only put on one color. Some put on as many colors as they can find."
ph33r my rod: "Ohhh. ... I think a lot of different colors sounds nice." *grins*
Omega19x: "I like big balls!"
Omega19x: "... we can get them in plenty of colors too."
ph33r my rod: (( ........ *DEAD* ))

ph33r my rod: (( I know. XDDDDDD ))
ph33r my rod: *starts to take the 'balls' comment out of context, but then reminds himself that it's Ryou talking and nods* "Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. And the lights in different colors, too. ...they come in strings of different colors, right?"
Omega19x: "oh yes..."
Omega19x: "and you can buy a little plug to make them blink."
ph33r my rod: "...ooh!"
Omega19x: *smiles*
Omega19x: *holds up a few boxes of lights* "Wow... they're really inexpensive now... I remember when they cost a lot..."
ph33r my rod: "Does the price go up the closer it gets to Christmas or something?" *headscratch*
Omega19x: "I... I don't know... It's been a while since I bought lights... but when I was little... Mom always said they were really expensive...'
ph33r my rod: "...oh."
Omega19x: "... but they're not anymore, I guess."
ph33r my rod: *picks up a box of pretty red ornaments with kind of a 'frosted' look* "...ooh, these are nice. And they come in like five other colors, too... should we get some of each?"
Omega19x: "okay... and these are the balls I was talking about." *holds up a package of round shiny orbs. That box contained blue ones*
ph33r my rod: "...ooh, I like those. I think I like the shiny ones better, actually..."
Omega19x: "They have some in purple too!"
Omega19x: *holds up another box as he puts the first one in the cart."
Omega19x: *
ph33r my rod: "..." *grins*
Omega19x: *smiles*
Omega19x: "... I'm going to get some icicles. I really like how they look on trees."
ph33r my rod: *blinkblink* "...icicles?"
ph33r my rod: *thinks of literal icicles and involuntarily shivers*
Omega19x: "oh... ones made out of plastic!"
Omega19x: *holds up another box of thin white icicles.*
Omega19x: "snowflakes too."
ph33r my rod: "...ohhhhh." *looks at them* "...hey, those are cool. They'll pick up the color from the lights."
Omega19x: "You're right... they will!"
ph33r my rod: *starts looking at the other decorations* "...what else..."
ph33r my rod: *looks up at a bunch of different stars on the top shelf of the aisle*
Omega19x: "See something?"
ph33r my rod: "..." *blinks and tilts his head at the stars, trying to comprehend where on a tree they could possibly go*
Omega19x: "oh... those go on the top of a tree."
Omega19x: "I think they have something to do with Anzu's god... but... I think they just look pretty..."
ph33r my rod: "...ohh." *reaches up to grab a sparkly silver one*
ph33r my rod: "...pretty cool."
Omega19x: "Mom always liked to put a star on top... she used to sing a little song when she did it... Oh... how did it go..."
Omega19x: *thinks*
Omega19x: "... Well, I looked in the sky, and I picked out a star... and I said to the world, this one's mine. And wherever I go... I can look at that star. And everything will be fine."

Omega19x: (btw, if you actaully know what that song is from, and you can locate it, iwill worship the ground you walk on.)
ph33r my rod: (( ... *has no clue what it is* ))

Omega19x: "Let's get a star."
ph33r my rod: *nodnod* "Which one do you like best?"

Omega19x: *points to a pretty white one with lots of pointy parts. it glistens as the light hits it.*
Omega19x: "I think I like that one best..."
ph33r my rod: *reaches up and puts the one in his hands back, then takes down the one Ryou pickes out* "...pretty."
ph33r my rod: *picked
Omega19x: "anything else you want to put on the tree?"
ph33r my rod: "I think this should work for now. We got lights, ornaments, icicles, a star..."
Omega19x: "... " *blushes, thinking of something else*
ph33r my rod: *blinks at Ryou's blush*
Omega19x: "... um... we... we should um... get... um... some mistletoe..."
ph33r my rod: "...uh, okay." *headscratch*

ph33r my rod: "Oh, we can get it." *takes the sprig and looks at it* "Heh... looks kinda cool, too."

Omega19x: "... We... we could get some holly too... There's... there's no kissing associated with it, but it woud look pretty on the staircase..."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Is that the one with the red berries?"
Omega19x: *nods* "that's it."
ph33r my rod: "Okay."
Omega19x: "... maybe... maybe a wreath for the front door too."
ph33r my rod: "Get whatever you think will look good. 'Cause Ra knows I don't know anything about this stuff."
Omega19x: "... okay..."
Omega19x: "Have you ever had candy canes?"
ph33r my rod: "..." *shakes head*
Omega19x: "They're good... They're striped sugary treats shaped like canes."
Omega19x: *picks up a box as they go past aisle 322.*
ph33r my rod: "...ooh."
Omega19x: "... I always used to love candy canes when I was little..."
ph33r my rod: "...this is bringing back a lot of memories for you, isn't it?"
Omega19x: 'Well... I... I haven't really celebrated anything since... well... since Dad died..."
Omega19x: "I've mostly been alone."
ph33r my rod: "Oh. ... You're not alone anymore."
Omega19x: "... I... I have reason to celebrate... And... and this time... I'm going to."
ph33r my rod: *smiles*
Omega19x: "we'll probably need wrapping paper for the presents we get... And we stick those presents under the decorated tree. And not open them until Christmas."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "'Kay."
Omega19x: "I... I still need to find something special for you..."
ph33r my rod: *blushes a little* "...same here."

Omega19x: "I'll find something soon..."
Omega19x: "But not when you're here... with me... then it won't be a surprise on Christmas morning..."
ph33r my rod: *grin* "Yeah, that would kinda defeat the purpose of wrapping it up, huh."

Omega19x: "... hmm... maybe we should get some other sweet foods while we're here..."
ph33r my rod: "...you mean like cookies or something?"
Omega19x: "mm... I was thinking Gingerbread cookies."
Omega19x: "Maybe we could even make gingerbread houses!"
Omega19x: *looks at Malik* "... you don't know what those are, do you..."

Omega19x: "We'll get the ingredients to make cookies, instead of buying them... I... i always like fresh gingerbread cookies..."
Omega19x: "We can make them into people shapes with cookie cutters" *tosses a gingerbread boy and girl cookie cutter set into the cart* "And decorate them to look like us!"

Omega19x: *points to an example on a package of pre-made cookies*
ph33r my rod: "Oh, so we decorate them with like... icing and candies and stuff?"

Omega19x: "Do you have any icing at the house?"
ph33r my rod: "...probably not. We might have the stuff to make some, but I don't think we have any pre-made."

Omega19x: "I think you'll like gingerbread cookies."
ph33r my rod: *grins* "Okay. If you say they are, then they must be."

ph33r my rod: "Hmm..." *looks around for anything else that catches his interest*
ph33r my rod: "...ooh!" *walks over to a nearby Pocky display, which features a new 'holiday' flavor, which is red with green icing swirls* "Gotta get some of this~"

Omega19x: (no. mainly things like old antibiotics that they used for the shadow disease that never really worked, or the morphine patches, which make Ryou sick. He gave Mokie all his nutrient shake mixes. Since he HATES them.)
