Well, this was awkward.
Isis, who was a) not quite herself at the moment, b) having to act not quite like herself, and c) was probably being blamed for this whole mess, was currently sitting in an office in the Kaiba Corp building, facing someone who looked just like her, and was probably none too pleased about the situation.
"...I didn't try to use the Tauk this time, I swear it," Isis muttered, her eyes fixed on a pen laying on the desk in front of her.
This was downright weird.
But then, life in Domino in a nutshell, eh? Seto was not in a very good mood. Which wasn't different for most of the time, when one thought about it. He was watching himself and listening to himself and thanking god he switched places with someone sane like Isis. Whose body he was in. He also wasn't particularly happy that to get to a decently private place around this city, she had to impersonate him a bit, but then, what did it really matter once people hear that everyone's acting like everyone else anyway?
"I didn't think so. You're not stupid." Adding 'unlike some others I know' under his breath afterwards. "But...yeah. This situation...yeah. Something's gotta be worked out." He propped his feet up on the desk, something he liked to do, then put them back down and straightened out the dress that came sliding up his--her...whichever--legs. Stupid dresses, damn it! "Er, sorry," he quickly squeaked, finding it very annoying to hear her voice speaking instead of his.
Isis glanced up at Seto briefly, then blinked and looked away, blushing faintly. Which looked rather strange, taking her current appearance into consideration. "...I do apologize for this," she said quietly. "It... must've been rather inconvenient for you to wake up and suddenly be... me."
It had definitely been a surprise for Isis. Especially when it came to more... personal matters. But, it could've been worse; at least she'd switched with someone that she was relatively comfortable around. Unfortunately, it was a lot more uncomfortable at the current time.
"Yeah, to say the least...not that it's not inconvenient for you, too. I'm sure you've got better things to do than figure out what the hell's going on and getting lost in my mansion, and--geez, I don't even know who else has switched with who...I'd rather not know what's going on at my place..." He sighed, crossing his arms (which was harder to do in this body since his arms now had to be higher or lower instead of across his chest) and staring at nothing in-particular. "We obviously can't work like this, and our personal lives will be very, very screwed up to hell like this..."
Isis nodded in agreement, focusing on that pen on the desk again. Ooh, it looked like one of those light-up pens. "But until we figured out what caused this - which is likely the Tauk - then I don't know what we could possibly do to fix it." She stood up and walked over to a window, folding her- his- Seto's arms.
"... Perhaps it will just wear off in time. Maybe later today, or in a few days..." She sighed, glancing over her shoulder at Seto. "Hopefully sooner than later. It took a few days before my brother and Ryou were able to go back to normal, but that only happened because Bakura switched them back using the Millennium Ring. He tried to use it to switch him and my other self back to normal, but it didn't work..."
"Yeah, I was there. Ah well...it might...wear off? Because if it doesn't...well, then we'd have to get used to this, and that sure as hell isn't happening." He fiddled with the him of one of the sleeves. "So...um...for the moment...assuming we can't get back anytime soon...I guess there's probably some things we ought to get straight...?"
The thought of possibly having to get used to being in Seto's body wasn't too thrilling. "...yes, I suppose so," Isis said, feeling the urge to pace around the room. Instead, she turned around to face Seto, nervously twisting her fingers around themselves. "I doubt you'll have to worry about going in to the museum or anything... I called in sick for the week, just to be safe."
"And hell, I can take off work without having to tell anyone. I'll just have a bit to do whenever we get back to normal. So there's that done. So...er...onto other things. Like..." Like what the hell were they going to do with each other's bodies? "Like which house we're living in? Me in yours and you in mine or vice versa...?" Yes. Stick with a non-embarrassing topic.
"Well... the former option would likely be easier, considering we have things to wear at each other's houses..." Isis rubbed her chin in contemplation. "Or perhaps it would be more convenient for the both of us to be in the same house; that way, if either of us have questions about where to locate something, then we just... ask." That, and Isis would find it rather difficult to keep up with everyone who was living in it Seto's mansion...
"That sounds good... I mean, I could have some of your things over at my place, or...nah, I don't think this body could fit into my clothes, I should have your stuff over." He actually had hips now, so any of his leather pants wouldn't work, that was for sure. But he certainly hoped she had more than just dresses. "I ought to see what all's going on over there, anyway. Your place is gonna be a mess, as I don't think Bakura and your other self are going to get along as they are..."
Isis nodded in agreement, running a hand through her- Seto's hair in an exasperated manner. "...I think that Bakura's got it worst out of all of us," she muttered, wrinkling her nose slightly. "I hate to think about what other me could be doing to his body right now."
She clasped her hands in front of her, looking down at Seto - and realizing just how tall she was in this body... and how short she normally was. "Malik and Ryou should be able to keep some kind of order at the house; after all, they were in this situation themselves for a time... so yes, I believe that taking some of my things to your place would be the best option. Not to mention it would be rather cramped if it were the other way around."
One thing about watching yourself from the viewpoint of another is that you realize how people perceive you. And you also notice a few things about yourself, too. This was quite annoying. This was all quite annoying in-general. "Yeah, that works. I think those two should be able to keep Bakura from, say, maiming someone. So now that's over with. ...Um...so...what else do we need to talk about?"
There were plenty of things that needed to be discussed. Many of which would be rather awkward for the both of them. "... Too much," Isis said, shaking her head. "I think, though, we should start with the basics... Do you have any kind of allergies or medication that I should know about?" Inwardly, Isis thought that this would be so much easier if she had switched with someone of her own gender.
"Nope, not really. You? I'd hate to give you a rash or something."
"...well, you already know that I'm a vegetarian. My metabolism's adjusted to where I get sick if I eat meat of any kind, so avoid that if you can help it."
"Right, right...heh, at least nobody switched with Ryou again. I'd hate to see 'em try to down all those pills."
"Oh, Malik was miserable when he had to take those," Isis said, an amused yet somewhat guilty smile forming. "He didn't like when Ryou had to take them anyway, but when it was actually him... I'm glad those two are normal, at least."
"Yeah, peachy keen for them. I wonder how many others are going through this..."
"...if I had to guess, I'd say a good number of us. Judging from all of the posts on the journals this morning... though it seems we got off better than some others. At least neither of us switched with... say, Pegasus."
He cringed. "Yeah, thank god for that. Er, so...about dealing with our bodies...um... Right, well, we're both mature enough to handle this in a way that causes as little embarrassment as possible, so..." So...so...so what? Just ignore what they have and what they lack?
"...right," Isis muttered, face flushing slightly. Unfortunately, the thought had occurred to her that at some point, both of them would have to bathe and do… other things which would require the use of a bathroom. Isis did have a little experience in that area, but that was when Isis had been a male version of herself, as opposed to being in the body of someone that she knew. “I suppose we’ll just have to… try to function as normally as possible?”
"...Right. Yes. Exactly. ...Yeah, neither of us want to have a discussion about that, so why don't we just skip to another topic, hm?"
Isis nodded - quite eagerly, at that. "...perhaps we should go and get some of my things from the house. As for everything else, well... we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."
