Omega19x: *the sun is setting outside, and Ryou approaches Malik, holding the tickets in the air.*
Omega19x: "...It's a... a lovely night out, don't you think?"
ph33r my rod: *nods and grin* "Yeah, it is~"
Omega19x: "... do you... want to go to the carnival tonight?"
ph33r my rod: *almost bounces* "Ooh, can we? It'd be great since it's so nice out~"
Omega19x: "I... I was hoping you'd say that." *smiles*
ph33r my rod: *grins* "So that's a yes~?"
Omega19x: *smiles, and nods*
Omega19x: "Let's get our coats."
ph33r my rod: *squee* "Okay."
Omega19x: *they get their coats, and off they go in Ryou's car*
ph33r my rod: *w00t* *magical drivelapse~!*
Omega19x: *and they get out at the site of the carnival. It's just outside Domino City.*
Omega19x: *there are several rides lining the horizon, including a big frozen pond with booths for ice skate rentals. There are vendors selling warm food and drink. Everyone is having a happy time*
ph33r my rod: *grins and takes Ryou's hand as they start walking toward it* "Hee, this'll be fun~"
Omega19x: "oh yes."
Omega19x: "What do you want to do first?"
Omega19x: *They go through the gates. There are a variety of midway-like games right around the entrance, most of which seem to involve throwing snowballs at targets, throwing icicle shaped darts, etc.*
ph33r my rod: "Hm..." *looks around* "We might wanna do some of these rides before it gets any colder out... it'd be really chilly on some of the faster ones."
Omega19x: "okay."
Omega19x: *there's a big ferris wheel, a couple of rollercoasters, some big swings, and even a really big slide (and by really big, I mean reaaaally big)
Omega19x: *
ph33r my rod: "I know you don't like the rollercoasters, so... how about those swing-things?"
Omega19x: "... okay..."
Omega19x: *they go up and get tickets to ride the swing, in which you're strapped down into a little swing, and it spins you around and around in a big circle*
ph33r my rod: (( XD I love those things~ ))
Omega19x: *and nicely, the seats are built for two.*
Omega19x: (tee hee hee)
ph33r my rod: (( Aww :D ))
Omega19x: *They sit down together and get strapped in*
Omega19x: *and off the ride starts*
Omega19x: "... have you ever ridden one of these before?"
ph33r my rod: *headshake* "Nope. Sheltered, remember?"
Omega19x: "... You'll like it... It goes really fast sometimes."
Omega19x: "hopefully not too fast, though..."
Omega19x: *the ride speeds up, and they are swinging, their feet dangling into the sky, almost on their sides!*
ph33r my rod: *meep!* *clings to the chains holding the swing*
Omega19x: *has his eyes shut quite tightly, and is wishing he was sitting on the outside seat, as he can feel Malik falling into him a little*
Omega19x: *woosh*
Omega19x: *around and around and around they go!!*
ph33r my rod: (( Where they stop, no-one knows~ *shot* ))
Omega19x: (shoot)
Omega19x: *eventually, the ride slows down, and they spin lower, finaly reaching the ground*
Omega19x: "... th..that was... f..fast..." *shivers a little*
ph33r my rod: *hair is messed up* "...that was kinda fun, though." *shivers*
Omega19x: "... f..fun... r..right... yes."
ph33r my rod: *gets off when the ride stops, helping Ryou down* "...cold, too."
ph33r my rod: *snivershiver* "Maybe we should stick to the slower ones instead, huh."
Omega19x: "... I guess this one is... is to wake you up..."
Omega19x: *weak smile, still quite dizzy from the spinning*
ph33r my rod: *nodnod* "Probably." *wraps his arms around Ryou to warm up a bit*
Omega19x: "... how about... the ferris wheel... next."
Omega19x: *leaning into Malik, as the dizziness wears off*
ph33r my rod: "Sounds good. That doesn't go very fast at all, if I remember right..."
Omega19x: "nope. Not at all. It's the big wheel with the great view."
Omega19x: *points up*
ph33r my rod: *grins* "Okay~ Let's go on it."
Omega19x: *they get in line, and soon get a seat on the ferris wheel, which takes them quite high, showing a wonderful view of the entire carnival*
ph33r my rod: *huddles up next to Ryou* "Everything looks so cool from up here..."
Omega19x: *shivers a little, and snuggles closer* "it does. The whole city looks lit up over there." *points in that direction*
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Yeah... it's really pretty." *wraps his arm around Ryou's waist*
Omega19x: "... and you can see all the people ice skating. And gee... there are little swans on the frozen pond. look."
Omega19x: "Little moving swans."
Omega19x: "... well, I guess they're not that little up close, but from up here they look little."
ph33r my rod: *looks* "Wow. Are they usually there, or what...?"
Omega19x: "I don't know."
Omega19x: "It looks like people are riding in them."
ph33r my rod: *blink blink* "... Huh. We should check those out..."
Omega19x: "It looks... romantic." *smiles*
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Oh yeah, definitely checking those out."
Omega19x: *the ride soon ends, and they are back on the ground again*
Omega19x: "...should we check them out?"
ph33r my rod: *nodnod* "Yeah~"
Omega19x: *they take hands, and off they go towards the frozen pond*
Omega19x: *the swans are there. They appear to be mechanized, and take you out for a romantic spin around the pond, sort of like the swans you'd ride on plain water.*
ph33r my rod: "...let's ride one~" *grins*
Omega19x: "okay."
Omega19x: *smiles, and hands money to the person renting out swans*
ph33r my rod: *climbs into one, holding his hand out for Ryou*
Omega19x: *takes his hand, and steps inside*
ph33r my rod: *sits down and looks around at the pond* "...and this thing is completely frozen over?"
Omega19x: *nods*
Omega19x: "They probably wouldn't let so many people go out on it if it wasn't."
ph33r my rod: "Makes sense... these swan things must be pretty heavy, too. They'd probably break through the ice if the lake wasn't frozen..."
Omega19x: "right."
Omega19x: "you've... never been on a frozen pond before, have you?"
ph33r my rod: *shakes head* "Nope."
Omega19x: "You like ice, right? This is just a lot of it."
ph33r my rod: *snerk* "Yeah."
Omega19x: *they sit in the swan, and it starts to slowly move*
Omega19x: *there's even a blanket folded in the small compartment in front of them. What a swan!*
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "Wow... they went all-out on these things, huh?"
Omega19x: "... it's so nice!"
ph33r my rod: *nods and unfolds the blanket* "You still cold?"
Omega19x: "... it is pretty cold out."
Omega19x: *snuggles close to Malik*
ph33r my rod: *smiles and drapes the blanket over both of them, pulling Ryou close against his side*

Omega19x: *holds Malik's hand tightly*
ph33r my rod: *leans his head against Ryou's* "Yeah... I'm feeling warmer already."
Omega19x: *nods, and blushes a little, leaning in for a tender kiss, his lips touching Malik's jaw gently*
ph33r my rod: *smiles, nuzzling in Ryou's hair*

ph33r my rod: "...I'm glad we could do this together. Thanks for getting the tickets, Ryou." *softly pecks his cheek*
Omega19x: "... any time..."
Omega19x: "... I'm just glad I can be here with you."
Omega19x: *kisses him gently again*
ph33r my rod: *hugs Ryou closer, pulling the blanket tighter around them* "Me too."
Omega19x: *smiles*
Omega19x: *eventually, though, the ride on the swan comes to an end*
ph33r my rod: *reluctantly folds up the blanket again, putting it back in the compartment it was in* "That was really nice..."
Omega19x: "it was."
Omega19x: *big smile, wishing they didn't have to climb out of the swan*
ph33r my rod: *doesn't want to get off either, but climbs out anyway, pulling Ryou with him* "...now what?"
Omega19x: "... Can we get some hot apple cider?"
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Yeah, that sounds good."
Omega19x: *smiles, and takes Malik's hand*
ph33r my rod: *gently squeezes Ryou's hand, then starts walking toward the food/drink stand*
Omega19x: *and they go off to one of the drink vendors, who is handing out cups of hot cider*
ph33r my rod: *gets two, handing one to Ryou* "Here you go."
Omega19x: "thanks."
Omega19x: *takes a good sip, letting the warm cinimany goodness trickle down his throat*
ph33r my rod: *sips on his own cider* "... This kinda reminds me of that time when we went to see all of the lights in the park, and had apple cider at home afterwards..."
Omega19x: "It does." *smiles*
Omega19x: "... And there are plenty of lights right here."
Omega19x: *takes Malik's free hand, and they start walking down the midway*
ph33r my rod: *nods and smiles, walking* "Why don't we play a few games while we're here?"
Omega19x: "... okay." *smiles*
Omega19x: "... I think I want to try that one!" *points to a game like throwing darts. There are big stuffed penguins hanging above it.*
ph33r my rod: *grins* "Okay."
Omega19x: *Ryou steps up to the game, and gets three darts* "Okay, let's see if I can hit the target."
Omega19x: *throws one, and misses the target completely*
Omega19x: *throws a second one, and hits somewhere in the middle*
ph33r my rod: "You can do it, Ryou~!"
Omega19x: *throws a third one, and hits the bullseye! ... on someone else's target...*
Omega19x: "... oops..."
ph33r my rod: *blink blink*
Omega19x: *the guy running the game laughs, and hands Ryou a small penguin anyway. That was a pretty good shot, after all.*
ph33r my rod: "Well, at least you got something out of it."
Omega19x: "... are there any games you really want to play?"
Omega19x: *proudly hugs his little penguin*
ph33r my rod: "I saw a snowball-throwing game that had little Duel Monsters plushies as prizes. I wanna try that one~"
Omega19x: "okay!"
Omega19x: "That one was close to the entrance."
ph33r my rod: *nods and grins, starting to head toward it* "If you see anything you wanna do on our way there, tell me."
Omega19x: "Okay."
Omega19x: *looks up and down at all the games on the way to the snowball throwing one.*
ph33r my rod: *walkwalk, looking around too*
Omega19x: *doesn't see anything he could probably win. They have tests of strength, and various other games*
ph33r my rod: *nothing else really catches his eye either, and before long, they reach the snowball game* "See? Check 'em out." *points at all of the Duel Monster toys, ranging from small to large - there are even ones of the Egyptian gods~*
Omega19x: "oh look, the winged dragon of Ra!"
Omega19x: "is that the one you want to win?"
ph33r my rod: *nodnod*
Omega19x: "I bet you can do it."
ph33r my rod: *it's a simple knock-down-the-targets game, with little moving Kuribohs as targets* "I'll give it a shot~"
Omega19x: "Go Malik!"
Omega19x: *smile*
ph33r my rod: *gets a small bucket of packed snowballs; there are six targets to knock down before the time runs out* "Hokay~!" *starts throwing snowballs, missing with the first one, but focuses and knocks targets down with the next two*
Omega19x: *watches the little kurribos go splat*
ph33r my rod: *misses with a couple more, but manages to knock all of them down~* "Excellent." *smirk*
Omega19x: "you did it!"
ph33r my rod: *picks out a medium-sized Ra plushie* "That was pretty easy."
Omega19x: "I should try it too."
ph33r my rod: *grins* "Go for it. There's a Change of Heart in there somewhere."
Omega19x: *gets a bucket of snowballs*
Omega19x: "I see it. But I think I'm going to try for the big necrofear. I'm sure my yami's had a tough week being, well, your sister's other self... I want to bring him something to cheer him up."
ph33r my rod: "Okay."
Omega19x: *smiles, and starts to throw the snowballs*
Omega19x: *Malik made it look so easy.*
Omega19x: *at the end of the bucket, he only knocked down two kurribos*
Omega19x: "... oh well... I... I guess it's the thought that counts, right?"
ph33r my rod: "I guesso. You wanna give it another try, or go do something else?"
Omega19x: "maybe I'll do better on my second try."
Omega19x: *gets another bucket of snowballs*
Omega19x: *and this time, he does do better. 4 kurribos are knocked down*
Omega19x: *it's not enough for the big prize, but at least he gets a little kurribo keychain*
ph33r my rod: "You did better that time."
Omega19x: *smiles*
Omega19x: "... but you did the best of all."
ph33r my rod: *grins, hugging his Ra plushie*
Omega19x: "Any other games you want to play?"
ph33r my rod: *shakes head* "Nah, I got what I wanted."
Omega19x: "okay. Let's see... there's still ice sakting, if you want to try that. And I think there's even snowboarding over on that side of the big slide."
ph33r my rod: "How about ice skating?"
Omega19x: "okay."
Omega19x: "Ever done it before? It's kind of hard... I haven't really done it since I was a child."
ph33r my rod: "Nope, I haven't... is it fun?"
Omega19x: It's pretty fun, yeah."
ph33r my rod: *grins* "Let's do it~ I'll probably fall over, but... yeah."
Omega19x: "okay."
Omega19x: *they go up to the skate rental booth, and get skates.* "Be careful, Malik, those blades on the bottom are sharp."
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "Kay."
Omega19x: "They help you stand up on the ice. And you move by gliding forward. Wow... I hope I can still skate... I think the last time I really skated was before we moved to Japan."
ph33r my rod: *sits down on a bench, taking his shoes off and pulling on the skates* "At least you've done it before. We kinda didn't have ice in Egypt." *smirk*
Omega19x: "... I guess that would be obvious... Have you ever rollerskated before? With... with wheels instead of blades?"
ph33r my rod: "No, but I've seen people do it, so I've got the general idea of it."
Omega19x: "... okay..." *laces up his skates, and slowly stands up, holding onto the bench*
ph33r my rod: *gets his laced up and stands, wobbling a little* "... I hope I'm coordinated enough to do this."
Omega19x: "... okay... I'll... try to go first?" *pushes off a little, looses his balance, stumbles onto the ice, and ends up falling on his face and sliding for a few feet*
ph33r my rod: "Eeep. You okay?" *skates forward a little, somehow managing to keep his balance*
Omega19x: "...ow... I think so..."
Omega19x: "... this was easier when I was five..."
ph33r my rod: *smiles apologetically and holds his hand out for Ryou*
Omega19x: *tries to stand back up, and unfortunately falls right back into Malik*
ph33r my rod: *eep!* *falls over, Ryou landing on top of him*
Omega19x: "... s..sorry..."
ph33r my rod: "...'s okay." *sits up*
Omega19x: *tries to stand back up, and eventually does so, balancing on his skates*
ph33r my rod: *pulls himself up, holding on to Ryou for balance* "...let's try that again."
Omega19x: *holding onto Ryou for balance causes Ryou to fall down again*
ph33r my rod: *pulled down with him... again*
Omega19x: *looks around at a lot of other people falling down and such, and some who are skating around*
Omega19x: *there's even a big line of people who are all skating while holding hands.
Omega19x: "... maybe we'd have better luck if we.. if we held onto them..."
ph33r my rod: "Maybe so. Provided that we don't fall over and take them with us."
Omega19x: "... right..."
ph33r my rod: *stands up again, holding on to Ryou's hand*
Omega19x: *the group of other people come nearer*
Omega19x: "Try... try grabbing their hand. I'm going to... to fall down again..."
ph33r my rod: *nods and grabs on when they come close enough*
ph33r my rod: *wobbles a bit as he's pulled along, looking back at Ryou*
Omega19x: *is still holding on to Malik's hand, and is pulled along too.*
ph33r my rod: "You doing okay there?"
Omega19x: *trying to glide along, not really moving his feet, and eventually he gets the hang of it*
ph33r my rod: *glides for a while, eventually starting to move his feet*
Omega19x: *and the skating turns to spinning*
Omega19x: "... why are there people shouting to let go?"
ph33r my rod: *blink blink* "...I dunno?"
ph33r my rod: *lets go*
Omega19x: *and they go flying*
ph33r my rod: *eeeep!*
Omega19x: *sliding back on the ice, right on their butts*
ph33r my rod: *eventually skids to a stop, still holding on to Ryou*

ph33r my rod: "Bleh... you okay?"
Omega19x: "i... think so..."
ph33r my rod: "... Maybe ice skating wasn't the best idea in the world." *picks himself up*
Omega19x: "... maybe not either."
ph33r my rod: "Let's get back into something we can actually move in."
Omega19x: "... yeah..."
Omega19x: *and after a large amount of trying and failing, they eventually get off the ice*
ph33r my rod: "Ugh, finally." *sits back down on the bench, taking his skates off*
Omega19x: *takes his off too*
ph33r my rod: *gets his shoes back on, brushing a bit of ice off of his coat* "That would've been more fun without all of the falling."
Omega19x: *rubs his behind* "... yes... it would have been. I don't think I like that... really..."
ph33r my rod: *nods in agreement* "You wanna go and do something else, play some more games, or what?"
Omega19x: "... anything on solid ground is nice..."
Omega19x: "I'm... I'm going to have so many bruises tomorrow..."
ph33r my rod: "Me too." *stands up, making sure he can actually move around*
Omega19x: "... you okay?"
ph33r my rod: "Yeah... a little sore, a little numb, but other than that I'm fine."
Omega19x: "... I think something warm is definitely in order..."
ph33r my rod: "Oh yeah. And sitting on that ice made my butt go numb."
Omega19x: "Do they have any nice warm food? Maybe a snack would be nice."
ph33r my rod: "Probably. Let's go see what they have."
Omega19x: "okay..." *still sore and numb from the ice as well, follows him*
ph33r my rod: *walks up to a food vendor, seeing what all's there*
Omega19x: *random carnival foods, like warm pretzels, funnel cakes, and even corny dogs*
ph33r my rod: "...those funnel cake things look pretty good. You wanna share one?"
Omega19x: "okay..."
ph33r my rod: "What kind of toppings do you want on it?"
Omega19x: "um... cinnimon and powdered sugar."
Omega19x: *smiles*
ph33r my rod: *grins and nods* "Okay~" *orders one, and they get it a few minutes later, with two forks*
Omega19x: *smiles* "that smells delicious."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah, it does." *walks over to a table, sitting down*
Omega19x: *and they both dig in. It's quite tasty*
ph33r my rod: *and warm*
Omega19x: "oh yes."
Omega19x: *they finish it quickly*
ph33r my rod: *grins and sits back in his chair* "That was pretty good, huh?"
Omega19x: "it was."
Omega19x: "This has been a wonderful carnival... minus the falling on our butts... so many times... Mine still hurts..."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah... I hope it didn't do anything to your back."
Omega19x: "... I... I hope not..."
Omega19x: "it... it doesn't hurt any more than it did before... so I think I'm... I'm okay..."
ph33r my rod: "...that's good. I guess in ten years we can look back on that and laugh at how clumsy we were, though."
Omega19x: "... I guess so." *small giggle*
Omega19x: "... I... I don't know about you, but I'm getting pretty cold... Maybe we should head back home..."
Omega19x: *wraps his arms around Malik for a wonderful hug*
ph33r my rod: *hugs him back* "Yeah... it's getting kinda late, too."
Omega19x: *nods*
Omega19x: "... thank you for coming to the carnival with me... even if it is a little late for your birthday..."
Omega19x: *kisses his cheek*
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "Better late than never."
Omega19x: *smiles too*
Omega19x: *and taking hands, they once again head for the car, and then back home*
