Omega19x: *Ryou is in the hospital bed, sitting up, but leaning back against the pillows. He has all four babies curled up in his arms. They just finished nursing.*

ph33r my rod: *comes in after uh... I dunno, potty break or something*
Omega19x: "... hey Malik."
Omega19x: *weak smile, the babies are snuggling in Ryou's arms and lap*
ph33r my rod: *grins and sits in the usual place* "Hey... how are they doing?"
Omega19x: "... good I think. They're... a lot more awake when they get to um... eat..."
Omega19x: "but they still sleep a lot."
ph33r my rod: (( brb ))
ph33r my rod: "I think it's normal for them to sleep a lot, especially during the first few weeks." *shrugs*
Omega19x: "... They're probably doing a lot of growing inside still... Babies have a lot to do."
Omega19x: "... though at least I don't think we'll be needing those diapers..."
ph33r my rod: *shakes head* "Nope... how many of those did we get?"
Omega19x: "... I... I don't even remember."
Omega19x: "but since they don't eat like us... they... they don't really poop... like human babies do."
Omega19x: "...and the most like a burp I feel... I think it's just a small release of heat. like waving your hand over the toaster."
ph33r my rod: "...huh. Well, that makes things a lot easier."
Omega19x: "it sure does... doesn't it, little guys... you make things so easy on your mommy, yes you do..."
Omega19x: *smiles at the babies, who sigh back*
ph33r my rod: *resists the urge to squee*
Omega19x: *aww, go ahead.*
ph33r my rod: *...squee*
Omega19x: "... We... we really need to name them, so we can tell them apart."
ph33r my rod: (( Are they wearing the colored things or something? ))
Omega19x: (they will be, when Ryou takes them home.)
ph33r my rod: "Uh huh... but even with the names, how will we tell them apart?" *scratches head*
Omega19x: "... maybe colored hats."
Omega19x: "I'd say booties, but I think their feet are too small."
ph33r my rod: "I guess that'd work."
Omega19x: "... but what to name them..."
Omega19x: "... I think we should name them... after the stars, since that's where they're from."
ph33r my rod: "Ooh, that sounds good... wait, stars have names?"
Omega19x: "well... different languages have different words for stars."
Omega19x: "... Like... Hoshi. That's a pretty name, and the Japanese word for star."
Omega19x: "... and Xing. I like that one too. That one is Chinese."
ph33r my rod: "Ohhh, okay." *things*
Omega19x: (the only thing I could find for Egyptian was the goddess of the stars, and that's Isis.)

Omega19x: (so they shouldn't be named after Auntie Isis?)
ph33r my rod: (( Prolly not. XD;; I'm looking at possible Arabic names that are relevant. =| ))

Omega19x: "... or maybe Vega... that's Latin for star... I think I like that one better than Xing."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah, I like that a lot too..."
ph33r my rod: "Maybe 'Zahi'? That's Arabic for 'bright and shining'... and that's what stars are."
Omega19x: "That's a very pretty name."
Omega19x: "You should pick the last name. Since I've picked two already. Hoshi and Vega."
ph33r my rod: *nods and thinks*
ph33r my rod: "... Jihan. Arabic for 'universe'." *grins*
Omega19x: "So we have Hoshi, Vega, Zahi, and Jihan."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Sound good...?"
Omega19x: "I think so."
Omega19x: "Though... which one should be which?"
ph33r my rod: "Uh... maybe we should wait until we can get the little hats before we decide that." *blinks* "'Cause we might forget which is which before then, since they all look alike..."
Omega19x: "... I guess so."
Omega19x: "It's hard having identical little... um... babies."
Omega19x: *who were now curling up with each other as well, especially the two in his right arm*
ph33r my rod: *nods* "...at least with the kittens, they were mostly different-colored."
ph33r my rod: (( Though Saiko had three identical black kittens at one point, and I could tell them apart by how they acted... XD ))

Omega19x: "... they kind of have different personalties so far... I think..."
ph33r my rod: *blinks* "Do they?"
Omega19x: "Well... this one is always a little more curious..." *looks down at the one that's been reaching and playing with a lock of Ryou's hair*
Omega19x: "... It keeps reaching out for new things."
Omega19x: "The two in my right arm... they're more quiet... They like to sit and cuddle a lot..."
Omega19x: "And this last one... It's just a little bigger than the others, but.. kind of in the middle, I think. Not really grabby, but not cuddly. More of... kind of reminds me a little of my yami."
ph33r my rod: "Hm... I think that one should be Vega. At least that one's a bit bigger, so we'd be able to remember it..."
Omega19x: "... okay."
Omega19x: "Then this little curious one should be Jihan... because he looks like he's always reaching for the universe... whatever the universe is."
Omega19x: "And that just leaves Zahi and Hoshi."
ph33r my rod: *nodnod* "Those two are identical, so..."
Omega19x: "... And they're both pretty quiet."
Omega19x: "we might need the color coding there."
ph33r my rod: *nods*
Omega19x: "until I can tell them apart..."
Omega19x: "oh, I think I'm being released tomorrow."
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "That's good..."

Omega19x: "It will be so nice to get back home..."
ph33r my rod: "It always is when you're in the hospital for more than a day."
Omega19x: "... and I'm sure the little ones will like to be home..."
Omega19x: "... at least.. until they can go back to their real home... Up in the sky somewhere..."
Omega19x: "I bet the aliens will come back for them soon."
ph33r my rod: "Probably within the next week, I'm guessing. Until they do, we'll just take care of them the best we can."
Omega19x: "... maybe they... the babies came out early... and the aliens were going by a... a calendar... Or maybe they got delayed for some reason."
Omega19x: "... there could be so many reasons why they're not here."
ph33r my rod: "...maybe because we weren't at home?" *not like the aliens would care 'cause of their little tracking device~... not like Malik knows about that, though*
Omega19x: "but we just need to take good care of them..."
Omega19x: "... and you know... I think I'm gonna miss them when the aliens come. Maybe they'll come back every now and then... and let me visit them..."
ph33r my rod: "...I wouldn't really count on that, but we can hope so, huh."
Omega19x: "... they're just... so cute... and... aww... I really do like them... And... in a way, I'm glad it happened."
ph33r my rod: "Really, even if you didn't know it would happen, it's... kind of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I think. I mean... you've literally gone where no man has gone before."

Omega19x: "it... it definitely was a... a once in a lifetime opportunity... like most of the things that seem to happen inside my body..."
Omega19x: "But... making life... it's pretty amazing."

Omega19x: "... and you make a wonderful father..." *smiles back up at Malik, now that the babies are starting to settle down*
ph33r my rod: *smiles back, looking up at him* "...y'know, I was thinking..."
Omega19x: "yeah?"
ph33r my rod: "Maybe in a few years, when we get settled down with like... jobs and such, maybe our own place, and when we've actually had time to think about it... maybe we could adopt a kid. It's not the same as having one of your own, but still..."
Omega19x: "... I think I'd like that someday..."
Omega19x: "... when we're both ready..."
