Omega19x: *nibble on sandwich* "... hey. You look pretty happy. Did something nice happen?"
ph33r my rod: *shrug* "Not really, no. It's just really nice outside today~ 'Cause lately it's either been cloudy or rainy."
Omega19x: "It has..."
ph33r my rod: *smile* "So I was thinking... since our walk on the beach got interrupted a few weeks ago, maybe we could take a walk through the park or something. Since it's still daylight we'd be able to see anything that gets in our way."
Omega19x: *smiles* "okay."
Omega19x: *he sets down his sandwich. He can finish it later.*
ph33r my rod: *grins and holds out his hand* "Let's go, then~ There's a nice breeze out, so it's not too hot, either."
Omega19x: "okay!"
Omega19x: *takes Malik's hand8

ph33r my rod: *and so they head out, deciding that the park is a nice place to walk around at. The sun is shining, there's barely a cloud in the sky, and there's a light breeze blowing through the area. It's a pretty day~*
Omega19x: *walk walk walk, hand in hand*
ph33r my rod: *they walk past the lake, which looks pretty with the sun reflecting off of it. They can even see little ducks swimming in it, and on the shore.*
Omega19x: "Look! Duckies!"
ph33r my rod: "..." *squee* "Aww~ Let's go closer." *tugs on his hand*
Omega19x: "okay!" *smiles*
ph33r my rod: *slowly walks closer to the edge of the lake, trying not to startle the ducks. There's one right in front of them, with a bunch of little ducklings surrounding it.*
Omega19x: *squee*
Omega19x: "... oh, they're so cute!"
Omega19x: "look, that one has a little tuft of feathers on its head!"
ph33r my rod: "Eeee~ I wonder if they've got anything we can feed them with. I didn't think to bring anything..."
Omega19x: "... I don't know." *looks around*
Omega19x: "maybe I should have... brought my sandwich with me..."
ph33r my rod: "If all else fails, we could go buy a cheap pretzel or something. The vendors usually come out on the weekends, so..." *shrugs* "Or we could just sit and watch them for a while if you wanna."
Omega19x: "we can always do both."
Omega19x: *smiles*
Omega19x: *and he dashes off to a pretzel vendor that is close by*
Omega19x: *buys pretzel, and rushes back*
ph33r my rod: *blinks for a moment then grins, kneeling down in the grass*
Omega19x: *rips the pretzel in half, and hands half to Malik* "here... Now we can both feed the ducks."
ph33r my rod: "Okay~" *tears off a small chunk of it, then tosses it out to the ducks*
Omega19x: *watches one of the big white ducks run for it*
Omega19x: *smiles*
Omega19x: *tears little pieces off the pretzel, and tosses them in the direction of the ducklings*
ph33r my rod: *watches all of them try to go for it at once*
Omega19x: *giggle*
ph33r my rod: *tosses a couple more pieces out to them so they can share* "Don't fight, there's enough to go around..."
Omega19x: *tries to throw a piece really far to a duck in the water, but it gets nabbed by a much closer duck*
ph33r my rod: *continues throwing little pieces out until he runs out, then leans back a bit* "I guess they like that stuff. It's probably better than moss."
Omega19x: "I think so."
Omega19x: *throws a piece of pretzel and watches two mallards go after it, only to lose it to a quick moving crow*
ph33r my rod: *rubs the back of his neck* "I guess the ducks aren't the only ones, either." *snerk*
Omega19x: *nibbles on his half of the pretzel.* "... doesn't taste very good to me... as far as pretzels go."
ph33r my rod: "Huh." *pulls a small chunk off and tastes it, making a face* "No, not really..." *tosses it out to the ducks, watches as a bigger one snatches it up* "Eh, at least someone likes them."
Omega19x: *nodnod*
Omega19x: *throws more pretzel out to a little white duck that just swam over.*
Omega19x: "it's a beautiful day."
Omega19x: *smiles at Malik*
Omega19x: "Thanks for sharing it with me..."
ph33r my rod: *grins back* "There's nowhere else I'd rather be."

Omega19x: "I... still haven't heard anything back about that... that job... I should really call them. And... and... where would we find a place we could afford?"
ph33r my rod: "I dunno yet... yeah, one or both of us would have to get jobs, but... not that I have anything against living here, but I think it might be good for us, y'know?"

ph33r my rod: "...would you want to?"

Omega19x: "Maybe it... would be good for us."
Omega19x: "We... we wouldn't trouble Isis any more... And we would have more privacy... and no Mana practicing singing in the basement..."

Omega19x: "... if... if I can get a job... that will help things..."
ph33r my rod: "I'll start looking for one too, if it'd help. I'm not really sure what I could do, but something's better than nothing..."
Omega19x: "... hopefully the... the non-profit agency I interviewed with will get back with me..."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah... it seems like it'd be a really good job for you." *smile*
Omega19x: "... it really does."
Omega19x: "... maybe I... I should talk with the rehabilitation center where I do yoga. Maybe they're looking to hire over there."
ph33r my rod: "You like yoga a lot, you'd probably be pretty good with that too. Or some of the other things they might offer over there."
Omega19x: "... I can at least say... I know them well... and... and what they do for people."

Omega19x: "I guess I should try that after tomorrow's yoga class."
ph33r my rod: "It'd be a good idea. That way, if you end up not getting the job eith the non-profit people, then you know you'd have more options to choose from."

Omega19x: "... what... what kind of place do you want to live in? An... an apartment?"
Omega19x: "an actual house?"
ph33r my rod: "Nothing too roomy, I don't think. Probably not the apartments, because most of them are more... into the city, and I'd kinda like to stay close to here. But I'm willing to take whatever we can afford at the time, really."
Omega19x: "... yeah... I... I don't think we should live... where my yami lives... It's really inexpensive... but... it's dangerous."
ph33r my rod: "No way. That's what made you move in with me in the first place..."
Omega19x: "... at least we agree on that."
ph33r my rod: *nodnod* "...I don't want to put you at risk again by moving to that kind of area."
Omega19x: "... or... or you at risk... either."
Omega19x: "I... bet there are some nice apartments... or even condos... close to here."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah. They may be a little on the pricey side since they're so close to the beach, but it'd be worth it if it means we'd be safe."
Omega19x: "... but there should be some reasonable ones... further from the beach, but still just outside the city."
ph33r my rod: "Mmhmm. 'Cause I really like this part of the city. Might mean more traveling to other places closer to the city, but it's nice."
Omega19x: *nodnod*
Omega19x: "and we'd need a place that doesn't mind pets..."
Omega19x: "I wouldn't want to leave Zahra behind."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah. I don't think a lot of apartments allow pets... I couldn't leave Aisha, either."
Omega19x: "... of course not."
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "Isis can help us look for something."
Omega19x: "Okay."
Omega19x: "... when the time is right, she can."
Omega19x: *smiles* 'You think of everything!"
ph33r my rod: *smirk* "I've been getting better at that 'thinking' thing lately. I practice it while you're out."

ph33r my rod: "Because when you're here my mind's usually focused on you."
