ph33r my rod: *pops up in le soul room, as usual*
Omega19x: The construction had continued since Isis'
last visit in the soul room. In fact, the main wall was a
couple more feet higher all the way around.
ph33r my rod: *looks around the room, rather impressed
about the progress that's been made*
Omega19x: At first, the dark magician cannot be seen,
but soon he pops up on the top of the wall, placing the
last stone of that level. He breathes a contented sigh. It
was one more step completed.
ph33r my rod: *looks up at him* "You've really made
some progress since I've last been in here..."
Omega19x: "A small amount in the greater picture, but
yes. Indeed I have." he managed to climb back down.
"Your visit is welcome, good priestess."
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "...have you not had many
visitors lately?"
Omega19x: "No. I have not. Although, I am not entirely
sure how long 'lately' has been." he resumed work on the
next part of the tower, a large sheet of amethyst crystal.
He had started on it already, when he felt a break was
necessary from climbing the wall.
ph33r my rod: (( brb ))
ph33r my rod: "I see... I thought I'd visit, since it's been
several days since I had the last time. Just to see what kind
of progress you've made, or if you needed any help... it
looks like you're doing quite well."
Omega19x: "I have worked hard. I must do so, if I am
ever to reach consciousness again."
Omega19x: A large portion of the crystal sheet was laid
out, but he was still having difficulty piecing the small
shards together. There were many broken pieces, but
fortunately, the ones on this sheet seemed to be thicker
than some of the others.
ph33r my rod: "If you keep working at this rate, then I'm
sure you will..."
Omega19x: "Thank you, priestess. Your confidence
gives me strength that I do not possess on my own."
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "... We all want you to come
back. It's not really the same without you."
Omega19x: "I am trying my best." he sighed. "Though
there is still much to build."
Omega19x: "I have completed two of the twenty five
levels, not counting the crystal discs." he added. "How
many days has it been since the mind crush?"
ph33r my rod: "Uhm..." *thinks* "It's been almost a
month."
Omega19x: "Two levels in almost a month. Perhaps I
shall be finished within the year."
ph33r my rod: "...oh, I hope it doesn't take that long."
Omega19x: "At this rate, however, I do not know any
other estimation."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "...yes, it's probably impossible to
make an estimate right now." *sigh* "But if you don't wake
up for that long, then I don't know what the doctors will
want to do..."
Omega19x: "I see. They would want to kill me, then?"
ph33r my rod: *nods slowly* "...if you don't come out of it
for a long time, then they'll conclude that you won't ever
wake up, and won't see any use in keeping your body
alive..."
Omega19x: "How long before they make that decision?"
Omega19x: The magician kept piecing together the
crystal sheet. It was about half way finished.
ph33r my rod: "I believe they said they'd give it a year
before really wanting to decide anything, so you've got a
long time before you have anything to worry about..."
Omega19x: "Priestess, how do they decide when I have
failed at my task?" he looked up, a bit concerned. "What
magic will reveal it to them?"
ph33r my rod: "...it's really just speculation on their parts.
Even if their technology is much more advanced than it was
in your era, they can't predict when everything becomes
hopeless... but if you don't give up, and all of the building
you're doing results in higher brain activity, then they'll
have no reason to cut you off."
Omega19x: "Then that is exactly what I will have to do."
ph33r my rod: *nods*
