Omega19x: "... hi, Isis."
ph33r my rod: "Hello, Ryou. Is something wrong...?"
Omega19x: "No... I... I was wanting to go get something special for Malik, since he's still recovering, and I wondered if you wanted to come too. Then we could make it from both of us."
ph33r my rod: "Oh. ...oh! Yes, of course, I'd love to go."
Omega19x: "Okay. Malik's taking a nap right now. I'll come by and pick you up." Ryou smiled. "He'll be surprised to see something from both of us!"
ph33r my rod: "Yes, he will. I'll see you in a little while, then."
Omega19x: *magical drivelapse*
ph33r my rod: *huzzah*
ph33r my rod: *is waiting outside when Ryou pulls up*
Omega19x: Ryou pulls up, and unlocks the door.
ph33r my rod: *hops into the car, buckles up, etc* "How's Malik been doing...?"
Omega19x: "His ribs hurt. But the cuts on his back are healing up nicely... He's still really afraid when I have to clean them, or change the bandage. I... I can easily see why."
Omega19x: "He must have been terrified the first time someone did that."
ph33r my rod: *looks down at her lap* "...he was. The only person he would talk to for weeks was Rishid, and he wouldn't let anyone touch his back. He'd always try to run off when his bandages had to be changed..."
Omega19x: "... I wish it didn't have to happen again..."
ph33r my rod: "...me too. I wish it hadn't even happened the first time, but there was nothing we could do about it that time..."
Omega19x: They talked as he drove. "Was there anything you did for him the first time? Maybe something that would help cheer him up now?"
ph33r my rod: "There wasn't really much I could do... sometimes, when he had trouble sleeping, I'd just sit there with him, and I think that helped. But you do that for him already, don't you?"
Omega19x: *nodnod*
Omega19x: "I'd like to get him a big giftbasket, though. With all sorts of get-well things."
Omega19x: "Did he get any presents the first time through?"
ph33r my rod: *shakes head* "No, he didn't. But that sounds like a good idea now... it'll really help him, I think."
Omega19x: "At least cheer him up. We can get a basket of little things to do while he's not up to running around, balloons, cards... that sort of thing."
ph33r my rod: *nods and smiles* "That's a good idea. He'll like that a lot."
ph33r my rod: *magical drivelapse?*
Omega19x: *to... where? the Mall? the Wall to Wall Mart?*
ph33r my rod: *Wall to Wall Mart works, I guess*
Omega19x: *Wall to Wall Mart!*

Omega19x: They go in the Wall to Wall Mart. "Let's see... I guess the first thing I need is a basket.... Check the map, and see what aisle they're on."
ph33r my rod: *checks* "They're in the section with the arts and crafts."
Omega19x: "Okay... That would be aisle 306 Q."
ph33r my rod: "I'd forgotten just how big this store was..."
Omega19x: "... it really does have everything..."

ph33r my rod: *starts heading to aisle 306 Q, then*
Omega19x: *where they get a big pretty basket!*

Omega19x: "This one is nice... it has pruple ribbon up and down the handle."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "... We should probably get something to line it with. It'll make it prettier. That colored 'grass' stuff probably wouldn't be a good idea, though... the cats would get it everywhere."
Omega19x: "I can clean up after the cats."
ph33r my rod: *shrug* "Well, okay. I bet there'll be some nice purple to go with the ribbon on the basket..."
Omega19x: "okay!"
Omega19x: "... but the real question is what to put inside it..."
ph33r my rod: "... Right. They have gift baskets for sale up at work, they usually put things like teddy bears and candy inside of them."
Omega19x: "Oh, a teddy bear would be cute. And there should be lots of candy, given what time of year it is."
ph33r my rod: *nods* "Yes. He'd probably like some Pocky in there, too... unless you're completely stocked of it at home." *smile*
Omega19x: "I wonder if we can get a Teem-a-Teddy, you know... where you make your own bear."
Omega19x: "Then we could make one that looked just like him!"
Omega19x: "... or maybe he'd like one that looked like me that he could squeeze.."
ph33r my rod: "Oh, yes, that would be cute... either one of them would."
Omega19x: "Or both!" Ryou smiled.
ph33r my rod: *nod* "There could be one for both of you."
Omega19x: "Hm... we should get him some of those cute activity pads. They're mostly for kids, but I saw some with pictures of duel monsters. And there's nothing like a coloring book to make someone feel better."
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "Yes, that'd be something for him to do, other than watch TV or something... maybe one of those fuzzy posters? Then you could hang it up on the wall."
ph33r my rod: (( brb ))
Omega19x: "oh yeah."

Omega19x: "Okay..." they went through the aisles, getting a fuzzy poster, a 'My Little Kuribo' coloring book, (DUDE, icon bunny!) and a big box of crayons."

Omega19x: Ryou hurredly pushed the cart towards the toys. Aisle 33H.
Omega19x: "okay... let's build a couple of bears for him."
Omega19x: "Ooh! I know! I'll make one of me, and you make one of you... and then he knows exactly who gave him the basket!"
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "Alright." *picks up one of the plain bears, looking at all of the different clothing and accessories*
Omega19x: *gets a fluffy white one*
ph33r my rod: *has a little brown one, finds a little black wig to put on it*
Omega19x: *finds a blue and white striped shirt and a pair of jeans for his bear*
ph33r my rod: *finds a white dress for hers, and some gold ribbons for its hair*
Omega19x: *understuffs his for maximum huggability*
ph33r my rod: *is fairly sure that Malik would hug on Ryou!bear more, but does the same to hers anyway*
Omega19x: "hmm... they don't have a millennium ring... but they have a little dream catcher I can put around its neck."
Omega19x: He lifted up the bear to show Isis.
ph33r my rod: *smiles* "That's adorable..." *shows him hers, with the little ribbons all tied up in its hair... closest thing to her hair ornaments she could find*

ph33r my rod: "Okay." *picks up a box of animal crackers while they're on the aisle, because everyone loves animal crackers*
Omega19x: "Oh! I know! We should get him a jigsaw puzzle! Doing puzzles is a great thing to do when you're not feeling well..."
ph33r my rod: "Mhm. It keeps your mind busy... and he may need that distraction."
Omega19x: "I think so too."
ph33r my rod: *looks at map* "Looks like they're back near the toys..."
Omega19x: "Okay." he turns the cart around. "Any other ideas of what we can put in the giftbasket?"
ph33r my rod: *thinks* "...I think that might be good. Maybe a little book of crossword puzzles or something, if anything else..."
Omega19x: "okay!"
Omega19x: He grabbed a book of word puzzles. It had pyramids on the cover, which was a nice touch.
Omega19x: "Now... if we can just find the giftwrapping department, they can probably wrap this up for us."
ph33r my rod: *nods and consults map again* "...it's over by the arts and crafts section. I suppose that makes enough sense..."
Omega19x: "okay." *wheel wheel wheel*
