ph33r my rod: Isis has headed up to the hospital to check
on Mahaado. Though she's not doing too well herself...
Omega19x: Mahaado has been in Uno Hospital's ICU
for about a day now. He wants nothing more than to be
out of the healers' pavilion, but has gotten himself in such
a state that his wish is truly impossible.
ph33r my rod: For the time being, anyway.
ph33r my rod: (( ... I should probably know this, but if
he's in ICU, he's not like, in an actual room, is he? ))
Omega19x: (given how many hospital rps we had with
Ryou, I'm shocked!)
ph33r my rod: (( I know >_< Hence why I should know it.
*having a brain fart* ))
Omega19x: (the ICU has private rooms. They're just all
off in an area very close to doctors and such.)
ph33r my rod: (( Ohhh, okay. ))
Omega19x: (sort of like a wheel. nurses station in
middle, rooms on the spokes.)
ph33r my rod: (( Okay, got it. :3 ))
ph33r my rod: Holding back a cough, Isis knocked on the
door of Mahaado's room.
Omega19x: From the window, she could see him curled
up in the bed. He was awake.
ph33r my rod: She opened the door, poking her head
inside. "...Mahaado?" She was wearing one of those sinus
masks, so as not to transmit her cold. That was probably
the last thing he needed at the time.
Omega19x: He groaned, and tried to sit up. But he
curled right back up.
ph33r my rod: Isis stepped into the room, shutting the
door behind her. "...how are you feeling?" As if she really
needed to ask.
Omega19x: He did not wish to answer the good
priestess, but she was so concerned. "Terrible."
ph33r my rod: "...I'm sorry." She walked over to the bed,
sitting down next to it. "I wish I could help somehow."
Omega19x: Mahaado clutched his abdomen, and the
tubes in his arm swayed. "Even my magic proved
useless." he groaned, shaking a little.
ph33r my rod: "That's... it's that bad?"
Omega19x: "I could not even keep down an
anti-vomiting potion." he groaned. Everything still hurt.
He still felt incredibly nauseous. And he was weak -
weaker than he could ever remember being.
ph33r my rod: "... The doctors will help. If you stay here
long enough, you'll recover enough to where you can heal
on your own..."
Omega19x: "I... do not understand how this happened. I
am a strong sorcerer. I am a priest in the sacred court.
I..." he groaned. "What have I done..."
ph33r my rod: Isis started to reach toward him, but was
cut off by a sudden string of coughs. When it subsided, she
looked down at her lap. "...you've spent so much time
looking out for other people, that you haven't taken care of
yourself."
Omega19x: "I..." Mahaado shivered. "I cannot even sit
up..."
ph33r my rod: "... You should be resting, anyway." Like
she was one to talk, though. "You'll get your strength
back..."
Omega19x: "I did not wish for anyone to see me." he
eventually sighed. "Not like this. And not... as I was."
Omega19x: It was clear to what he was referring.
ph33r my rod: "Well, we couldn't just leave you out
there... you could've died if you'd been out there any
longer than you had." She frowned at the thought. "And I
had to know if you were okay."
Omega19x: "I am a disgrace."
ph33r my rod: "...you're not."
Omega19x: "I have failed the pharaoh, I have failed my
apprentice... I have failed everyone..."
Omega19x: He thought, but didn't add - 'I finally even
failed myself'
ph33r my rod: Isis wasn't sure how to respond to that, so
she just reached over and laid a hand on top of his. "..."
Omega19x: It twitched a little. He felt so cold.
Omega19x: "I am sorry."
ph33r my rod: "As long as you take it easy, you'll be
alright eventually. Physically, at least..."
Omega19x: Mahaado put his other hand on top of the
priestess'. Her fingers felt so dainty, so perfect, so warm.
ph33r my rod: She gave his hand a light squeeze. "This
was a terrible thing to happen around the holidays. Please,
when you get out of the hospital... take better care of
yourself."
Omega19x: "I never knew that I could... push myself
beyond the reach of my own magic." he sighed.
ph33r my rod: "Everybody has their limits... even thouse
with as much power as you."
Omega19x: "I thought I was in control..."
ph33r my rod: "Many people lose control when alcohol
gets involved. It's not uncommon... but anyone other than
you would probably be dead if they'd had as much as you
did."
Omega19x: "I... did not drink that much..."
Omega19x: (*shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiifty eyes*)
ph33r my rod: (( Isis: ... Yeah right. >> ))
ph33r my rod: "...that much. Mahaado, I don't know
exactly how much you drank, but between that and the
sleeping potion you had... it's a miracle that you're even
alive."
Omega19x: Mahaado clutched his stomach. "I wish the
potion were still working..."
ph33r my rod: "You must feel awful... between all of that,
and the battles you've been through, I'd be surprised if
you've even had time to eat anything..."
Omega19x: Mahaado could truly not remember when
he last ate anything, between the battles, the recovery,
the ritual and the fasting that preceeded it, the drinking
binges and the hangovers...
ph33r my rod: "Just rest, and things will be alright. And...
try not to do this anymore."
Omega19x: Mahaado groaned and nodded weakly.
"Seth... told me that I could stay with him, since I have
nowhere else to go."
ph33r my rod: "That's not true... I'm sure any of your
friends would be willing to take you in."
Omega19x: "That is it, good priestess. I... do not wish
to be taken in."
ph33r my rod: "But your apartment..."
Omega19x: "I was banished. I know."
ph33r my rod: "... You need to stay somewhere."
Omega19x: "No... If I have committed crimes worthy of
banishment, I deserve the harsh conditions I have left..."
he looked down.
ph33r my rod: "Nobody deserves this, especially at this
time of year, when it's so cold..."
Omega19x: Mahaado curled up more, wincing. He tried
to hide the fact that a tear was rolling down his cheek.
ph33r my rod: Isis just barely caught sight of that, and
clutched his hand in both of hers. "You don't deserve it
either, no matter how much you think you do."
Omega19x: "I am sorry."
ph33r my rod: "Just don't give up, okay...? Things will get
better." Though it would probably get worse before it got
better.
Omega19x: "I... did this all to myself..." he eventually
whispered. "I did this all to myself..."
ph33r my rod: Isis looked down at her lap, unable to
argue, but it seemed wrong to agree with him...
Omega19x: Mahaado groaned, whispering a spell that
he hoped would ease the pain, but nothing seemed to do
that.
ph33r my rod: "...your magic still isn't working?"
Omega19x: He weakly shook his head.
ph33r my rod: She sighed. "I'm sorry... if I could do
magic, I'd try to help, but..."
Omega19x: Mahaado sighed. This could mean only one
thing. Even though his heka was still strong, his body was
so weak, that he couldn't physically cast his spells.
ph33r my rod: "You'll just have to rest... until you have
enough strength to do it."
Omega19x: Yes, there was little else he could do.
ph33r my rod: Isis coughed a bit, sniffling. "I should
probably get home, so you can rest..."
Omega19x: Mahaado weakly nodded. "Thank you, for
your visit, good priestess."
ph33r my rod: She stood. "I'll visit again, if you'd like."
Omega19x: He offered a weak smile, before it
constricted into a painful scowl. "I would like that."
ph33r my rod: She would've smiled back if half of her
face wasn't covered by her sinus mask, so she settled for
giving his hand a last squeeze. "Alright... get some sleep,
Mahaado."
ph33r my rod: (( I have no idea what those things are
called. ))
Omega19x: (mask.)
ph33r my rod: (( Okay XD ))
Omega19x: (it works)
