Omega19x: After spending most of the day in individual therapy sessions, with a variety of healers, Mahaado was informed that he had a visitor waiting for him.
ph33r my rod: Isis waited for him in the visitation room, looking out a window. (( Assuming it's kind of just a normal-looking room...? ))
Omega19x: (yeah, with a few tables and such. Where residents here can visit with others and be monitored while doing so.)
Omega19x: Mahaado walked in soon after, surprised to see Isis. "Good priestess..."
ph33r my rod: (( Ohhh, okay. ))
Omega19x: (gotta make sure no one tries to sneak anything bad in, and all.)
ph33r my rod: (( Yeah XD ))
ph33r my rod: Isis turned to look at him, offering a small smile. "Hello... thought I'd come and see how you were holding up in here."
Omega19x: Mahaado sat down across from her, looking rather tired. "Things were much easier prior to today."
ph33r my rod: Her smile faded. "Oh... yes, I'd imagine so, having to be under watch like this all the time, or not really being able to go anywhere."
Omega19x: "That is the main difficulty. As I did just that, leaving to revive Seth, and constant supervision is the consequence of that choice, among other things."
Omega19x: "I spoke with at least six different healers today, all of them very concerned with what I do, where I came from, and what I know."
ph33r my rod: "I'd assume that they've never had somebody quite like you in here before, so it's understandable, really... they don't know what to expect."
ph33r my rod: (( And some error just popped up and I have no clue what it said because I was typing and it closed out of it X| ))
Omega19x: (oh well. If the system doesn't explode, it probably wasn't important.)
ph33r my rod: (( *dead* Kay. ))
Omega19x: "Yes... That seems logical." Mahaado sighed. "I believe I overheard one of the healers suggesting I be treated as a war veteran. And another said that I should be classified as a workaholic, whatever that means. One of them... let me just say that he is now terrified of dragons."
ph33r my rod: Isis blinked at the dragon comment, but decided that she was probably better off not knowing. "Workaholic... that means they think that you work too much. Which doesn't mean much considering your current job status, but perhaps it's referring to your training or meditation." She folded her hands on the table. "And you've certainly had your share of battles, be it shadow or otherwise..."
Omega19x: "I wish I did not have to spend an hour describing those various battles." he lowered his head. "Many were things I would rather forget."
ph33r my rod: "...I'm sure they are." She focused on her hands. "But they need the information so they can get an idea of what drives you into drinking..."
Omega19x: He nodded. "I... did tend to drink after the roughest battles, especially those where we suffered significant loss."
ph33r my rod: "I know it hurts to think about... there are plenty of things I'd like to forget about, but other things keep them fresh in my mind. So I know how you feel in that aspect..."
Omega19x: "But I cannot simply choose to avoid such confrontations." he added, thinking on the previous day's lesson about avoiding environments that lead you to drinking. "Or there would only be more loss. More tragedy. I would be failing to fulfil my duties."
ph33r my rod: (( "Confrontations" as in being asked to talk about the battles, or the battles themselves? :O ))
Omega19x: (the battles themselves)
ph33r my rod: (( Okay, just making sure. ))
ph33r my rod: "I know your duties are important to you..." She looked up at him. "And asking you to hold back wouldn't do anything at all."
ph33r my rod: (( ...way to state the obvious, huh. ))
Omega19x: "The pharaoh has already stated that I have failed him again, by leaving him in the clutches of Amun. Seth has tied my hands in this matter. Should he fail, I will carry this, among my other transgressions, to Osiris' court."
ph33r my rod: "...do you have faith that Seth will succeed? I've seen the lengths that someone will go to in order to save the ones they love, so if Seth were to fail, then I'm sure it won't be because he didn't try... I don't know too much about the situation, but I do know that Amun is very dangerous."
Omega19x: "He intends to be captured, to fight from the inside of the dark pharaoh's compound." Mahaado sighed. "His mind has already been fractured. I did not have time to heal it. He is quite vulnerable."
ph33r my rod: "...oh." Isis looked down at the table again.
Omega19x: "Yes." Mahaado answered simply.
Omega19x: "And yes... Amun is extremely dangerous."
ph33r my rod: She sighed. "Should you end up having to go after the pharaoh, please... be very careful."
Omega19x: "I will." he assured her. "I cannot afford to make the same mistakes with Seth as I did with Rishid."
ph33r my rod: "I have faith in you. You have a lot of power at your disposal... sometimes it just takes more calculation in order to make sure everything turns out okay. If that makes sense."
Omega19x: "Priest Seth has formed his plan, and I have agreed to assist him in whatever arises."
Omega19x: "which means until then, I must rest and train, so that my body and mind will be prepared to face this trecharous foe."
ph33r my rod: Isis nodded. "Right... the more strength you have, the better."
Omega19x: Mahaado just sighed. "I hoped to make progress here, so that I might leave. But how I truly want some date wine right now."
ph33r my rod: "And the whole reason you're here is to get rid of the need to drown yourself in alcohol..."
Omega19x: Mahaado rested his head in his hands. "I know. I know..."
ph33r my rod: Biting her lip, Isis reached across the table to rest her hand on his arm. "At least you can't resort to that while you're here... so it is possible to break yourself of that habit."
Omega19x: "I know that as well." he sighed. "The answer I hear is that I drink because of the stress I place upon myself. Rid myself of that stress, and the problem will go away. But I cannot ignore my duties. And if I take all that away, I... there is nothing else, priestess."
ph33r my rod: "...you'll still have your friends," she said, giving his arm a comforting squeeze. "We'll help you, if it's possible..."
Omega19x: "If I truly wanted it, I could have it." he sighed. "I could teleport a bottle of date wine right here if I wanted to. But I have not."
ph33r my rod: "See, you're already exercising some control..."
Omega19x: "It does not feel as though I am."
ph33r my rod: "...it'll get easier. It has to."
Omega19x: "It seemed as though it was..." Mahaado sighed. "And then the pharaoh was taken prisoner by Amun. The dark Marik has returned from the shadow realm where I thought I had sealed him. He killed Kisara, and implanted her dragon within the dead body of Finn's sister Delwyn. Mana is still missing... At least Seth is no longer in a coma."
ph33r my rod: Isis withdrew her hand, eyes falling down to the table again. "...maybe it's best to take this one problem at a time. That way, the stress doesn't pile up as easily..."
Omega19x: "maybe..." he sighed. Visiting time was almost over. He had another therapy session after this, and they wanted him to compile a list of all the times he had overindulged in intoxicants, and what stressful events proceeded it.
ph33r my rod: Sighing quietly again, she looked up at the clock on the wall. "I'd probably better get going..." She stood up and walked to the other side of the table, placing her hand on Mahaado's shoulder. "Take care, okay...?"
Omega19x: He nodded. "I will try."
ph33r my rod: "...alright. I'll visit again, if you'd like."
Omega19x: He smiled weakly, eyes cast down. "Thank you..."
ph33r my rod: Isis gave his shoulder a quick squeeze before removing it, turning to head out of the visitation room.
Omega19x: Mahaado left as well, for another therapy session.
