Omega19x: Ryou held his jaw. "...oww.... My tooth hurts..."
ph33r my rod: Malik blinked and looked over at him. "Did you do something to it?"
Omega19x: "... um... I... I had a wisdom tooth coming in... but... but it kind of stopped. And now it hurts..."
ph33r my rod: "... Wisdom tooth?"
Omega19x: "yeah... you know... the teeth in the back of your mouth, that come in when you get older."
ph33r my rod: "Oh... maybe yours started coming in again or something?"
Omega19x: "... it... it hurts so bad I can't even eat a cream puff..."
Omega19x: Ryou whimpered, holding the left side of his jaw.
ph33r my rod: "...okay, yeah, that's bad." Malik reached over to gently pet his hair. "Maybe we oughta go and get it looked at."
Omega19x: "... I... I already called the dentist. They can squeeze me in later today."
ph33r my rod: "Oh, okay. Is there anything I can do in the meantime?"
Omega19x: (yeah, you can magical timelapse! lol)
ph33r my rod: *magical timelapse!*
Omega19x: Malik and Ryou arrive at the dentist's office.
Omega19x: "Ah, Ryou Bakura, you're here for the 3 o'clock appointment?"
Omega19x: Ryou nodded.
Omega19x: (is Malik going to have an appointment too?)
ph33r my rod: (( Sure XD ))
Omega19x: "The three thirty appointment cancelled, if you want Dr. Paine to see you too?" the receptionist looked up at Malik.
ph33r my rod: Malik looked at Ryou, shrugging. "Sure, might as well since I'm here."
Omega19x: They led both Ryou and Malik back to another room, so while the dentist was looking at Ryou's toothache, Malik could get his teeth cleaned.
Omega19x: A dental hygenist walked into Malik's room. "All right. When was your last visit?"
ph33r my rod: "...uhhh. Maybe a few years ago, but that was back in Egypt, so..." Malik shrugged.
Omega19x: "have you been brushing and flossing daily?"
ph33r my rod: "Yeah."
Omega19x: The dental hygenist put on some gloves, and readied his instruments.
Omega19x: "Then this shouldn't be painful at all."
ph33r my rod: Malik nodded and waited for him to get started. "Alright."
Omega19x: And the hygenist went right to work, cleaning, rinsing, with you spitting.
Omega19x: Meanwhile the dentist was looking at Ryou's mouth.
Omega19x: "I can see why you have pain, Mr. Bakura." he said. "That wisdom tooth only came partially through. And it's hard to clean because its in an awkward position. Plaque built up there, and now you have a rather nasty cavity."
Omega19x: "... ow..."
ph33r my rod: (( Aww. ;; *pets Ryou* ))
Omega19x: "And from your x-rays, your other three wisdom teeth are still impacted, but some will likely sprout in those same angles, making them difficult to clean too. I'd advise you to get them taken out."
Omega19x: Ryou nodded, nervously. "... um... d...do I have to?"
Omega19x: "Well, I have to take the one out. You might as well have the others taken out too. That way you only have to recover once."
Omega19x: By the time Ryou was being prepped with local anesthetic, Malik was done.
Omega19x: "All nice and clean, Mr. Isthar."
ph33r my rod: Malik took a look in the small mirror provided and grinned. "Cool. Thanks."
Omega19x: "You're free to go."
ph33r my rod: Malik hopped up out of the chair and headed back into the front room to wait for Ryou.
Omega19x: Ryou was sitting in the chair waiting for the anesthetic to take effect. He waved to Malik as Malik walked by.
ph33r my rod: Malik stopped in front of the door and peeked in. "They're still working on you?"
Omega19x: "I haffa have my wis'om teef out." His mouth was already numb, clearly.
ph33r my rod: It took Malik a moment to decipher that. "... ... They're taking them out?"
Omega19x: Ryou nodded. "thwee of em will just end up like... like... the hurt one..."
ph33r my rod: "...oh. Better safe than sorry, huh."
Omega19x: "... better ta only go through this once."
Omega19x: Ryou was clearly nervous.
Omega19x: "Mr. Bakura, if you like, I can give you a sedative. That will help you relax."
ph33r my rod: "Uh..." Malik looked at the dentist. "Maybe if I stayed here with him, it might help?"
Omega19x: Ryou nodded to both.
Omega19x: He reached for Malik's hand.
ph33r my rod: Malik took it and gave it a gentle squeeze.
Omega19x: The dentist put a little mask on Ryou's face. "Now I want you to count down from 100 to 0, and you'll be asleep, okay?"
ph33r my rod: Malik sat there and lightly stroked Ryou's hand, trying to soothe him into sleep.
Omega19x: "100 cream puffs... 99 cream puffs... 98 cream puffs... 97..." *ZZZZZzzzzzzz*
Omega19x: And when Ryou woke up, he had four wads of gauze in his mouth, and a very loopy grin on his face.
ph33r my rod: Of course, Malik was right there when he woke up. "Hey. You're all done."
Omega19x: "...'ay..."
Omega19x: "Keep the gauze in there until the bleeding stops, and change it at least once an hour. Don't eat any hard foods for the next twenty four hours, and do NOT sip through straws."
Omega19x: The dentist gave them both sound advice.
ph33r my rod: "'Kay."
Omega19x: "wight..."
Omega19x: "And pick up this prescription for pain medicine, and this antibiotic. I'd suggest you take the pain pill as soon as possible, so when the numbness wears off, you'll be allright."
Omega19x: Ryou nodded.
Omega19x: "I wanna 'o home..."
ph33r my rod: "Okay, let's go home... we can relax for the rest of the day, okay?"
Omega19x: Ryou nodded.
Omega19x: He whimpered a little.
ph33r my rod: Malik tugged Ryou's hand up and gently kissed it. "Let's get going. I'll make you some soup leter, when you're able to eat."
Omega19x: "I li'e that." Ryou whispered. "nice soup."
ph33r my rod: Malik smiled, and then they headed home for some relaxation.
Omega19x: Ryou would need a lot of hugs and warm soup to get him through this.
ph33r my rod: Malik could definitely provide those!
Omega19x: And maybe some ice cream.
Omega19x: ...and cream puff smoothies
