ph33r my rod: Malik came home from work, carrying a few magazines. "Ryou~ I'm home!"
Omega19x: Ryou was cooking some soup on the stove. He poured in some orzo. "Hi!"
ph33r my rod: "Hey~" Malik set the booklets down and walked up behind Ryou. "Making dinner?"
Omega19x: "mmhm." Ryou nodded. "I know you... weren't wanting anything sweet... so I'm making soup."
ph33r my rod: "That sounds good. You're sweet enough for me to handle for a while, anyway."
Omega19x: Ryou blushed a little.
ph33r my rod: "I'm gonna go get a quick shower while you finish up, 'kay? And I brought home something we oughta take a look at, so yes~"
Omega19x: Ryou nodded, and got some bowls out of the cupboard.
ph33r my rod: Malik did indeed wash up quickly, and he came back in just in time.
Omega19x: The table was set, and the soup was still warm.
ph33r my rod: After getting a bowl of soup, Malik sat down at the table.
Omega19x: "What'd you bring home?" Ryou asked.
ph33r my rod: "Well..." Malik pulled over one of the magazines and showed it to him. "We keep a bunch of these things up at work for people to read while their cars and stuff are being worked on, so I figured that I'd bring a couple home and see if it might help us get some ideas for the wedding~"
Omega19x: "ooh!" Ryou's eyes lit up. "What's in them?"
ph33r my rod: "Just stuff, really." Malik flipped through it a bit while he ate his soup. "Mostly photographs people have sent in of places they've been to, and things like that. Some of them are pretty cool-looking."
Omega19x: "Did you see any really pretty places?" Ryou asked. "I... I want to get married somewhere pretty... not in some stuffy building."
Omega19x: "um... in this dimension... world... thing... I should probably specify that... to... um... somebody."
ph33r my rod: "...yeaaah. Right here on earth would be juuust fine." He turned to a two-page spread, where there were lots of pictures of flowers.
Omega19x: "That looks like the gardens we went to during the Astounding Race!"
ph33r my rod: "I think it is, actually. But a place kinda like it might be nice, don't you think?"
Omega19x: "... that would certainly look pretty."
ph33r my rod: "I dunno if there are any places like this in Domino, though. But if there is one, I think it could work. It probably wouldn't be as expensive as some of those fancy places, either."
Omega19x: "... A botanical garden would be lovely." Ryou pondered over it, sipping soup from his spoon. "Especially if everything's in bloom."
Omega19x: "... Maybe with all sorts of whtie flowers. Like lillies. Those are always beautiful!"
ph33r my rod: "Yeah, I think so too. That's definitely something to keep in mind, then." Malik sipped on some more soup, thinking for a moment. "Maybe Isis knows if there's anything like that around here... I'll have to ask."
Omega19x: (did I just die and come back?)
Omega19x: (IM wise?)
ph33r my rod: (( ...not that I've seen? ))
Omega19x: (weird.)
ph33r my rod: (( Huh. ))
Omega19x: "... what else did you find?"
ph33r my rod: Malik flipped through the magazine a bit more. "There are some nice pictures of beaches in here, too."
Omega19x: "...Maybe we could do that too. Isis' house goes right down to the beach. ... maybe we could have a reception out there?"
ph33r my rod: "That might be nice, yeah~ Let's just hope it's not too windy or else sand would get everywhere, heh."
Omega19x: "I found a book about weddings... they had some very elaborate ideas!" Ryou stared. "from going to big castles for a wedding for... for royalty. Or...or having a fairytale wedding at Tokyo Disney... Or a theme wedding at other places. There was one couple who did a Duel Monsters wedding!"
Omega19x: "... a dark magician and a dark magician girl, I think. The book didn't have pictures."
ph33r my rod: "...wow. I don't think I'd go that far/"
Omega19x: "... I think the chapter said they did it at a duel monsters convention. They had harpie ladies for bridesmaids, and the three knights as groomsmen."
ph33r my rod: "Huh. That's... an interesting idea."
Omega19x: "... all in costumes."
Omega19x: "... That would be like me baking a tux out of cream puffs!"
ph33r my rod: "Uh huh. ... ... How would you wear that one?"
Omega19x: "I don't know..."
Omega19x: "I'll stick with my cream puffs in cake form, I think."
ph33r my rod: "That'd be a better idea. Much easier to eat."
Omega19x: "I can make a whole wedding cake out of cream puffs!"
ph33r my rod: "Puffcake~!"
Omega19x: "Yes!"
Omega19x: Ryou just smiled.
ph33r my rod: "Heh. No matter how or where it happens though, it'll be special. Even if we dress up as, uh... Ra and a white wizard, then... well, you know."
Omega19x: "... I don't know what I want to wear..."
ph33r my rod: "I dunno either. Maybe something a little out-of-the-ordinary... but uh, not on the level of costumes, I don't think."
Omega19x: "... like nice kimonos... or fancy suits... not... not costumes."
ph33r my rod: Malik took a moment to picture each one. "...I think I like the kimono idea."
Omega19x: "It would be formal... but not too formal."
Omega19x: "I wish I still had pictures of my dad and mom in their wedding kimonos."
ph33r my rod: "...now that I think about it, those came up in that little game we played a while back, where we had to pick all of that stuff out..."
Omega19x: (I have no clue what you're referring to.)
ph33r my rod: (( The game thing. Mansion, shack, whatever. ))
ph33r my rod: (( *ded* *digs up log* ))
Omega19x: (oh yeah!)
ph33r my rod: (( XD Thaaaat one~ ))
Omega19x: (ohhh. thaaaat one.)
Omega19x: "oh yeah... I remember that. Though most of that was pretty far fetched."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah, I think so too."
Omega19x: "... so... locations..." Ryou mused. "Botanical garden is nice. Beach is nice... what else?"
ph33r my rod: "I dunno... did you get any ideas from the books you got?" Malik kept flipping through the magazine.
Omega19x: "Well, the book said a lot about going someplace that we find special... It mentioned university chapels, favorite resturants..."
Omega19x: "... It made me think of the ice cream shop where we first... re-met, I guess." Ryou added. "but... that place kind of has some bad luck to it too..."
ph33r my rod: "...yeah, it does. After that first time was when everything started with the gods..."
Omega19x: "... yeah."
Omega19x: "It would be like getting married at the hospital!"
ph33r my rod: "...that'd be a very white wedding, that's for sure."
Omega19x: Ryou giggled.
ph33r my rod: "Although... all of that did bring us closer together in the end, so would it really be such a bad thing?"
Omega19x: "... No. It's not a bad thing... but to get married at a hopsital? I... I don't know... It seems... a little... distressing?"
Omega19x: "I've done enough things in a hospital."
ph33r my rod: "Not suggesting that we got married in a hospital, of course. I was actually thinking more along the lines of the ice cream, maybe just to even have it at the wedding. It'd be... kinda symbolic, don't you think?"
Omega19x: "oh..." Ryou thought about it for a few moments. "maybe so."
ph33r my rod: Malik shrugged. "It was just a thought."
Omega19x: "we could have all sorts of symbolic things..."
Omega19x: "... maybe our own little piece of Las Vegas too... And... and the other things we've done together... Like that... that hot air balloon ride. That was wonderful..."
ph33r my rod: "Yeah..." Malik finished off his soup and pushed his bowl away. "Just little pieces of all of the good things we've been through. It'll make the memories even better than they already are."
Omega19x: "... yeah. I almost wish we could get married up in a hot air balloon...but they're not big enough for everybody... Unless we had more than one."
ph33r my rod: "That'd be hard to organize, I think..."
Omega19x: "... but really pretty."
ph33r my rod: "Oh, of course it would."
Omega19x: "I wonder if Seto still has his..."
ph33r my rod: (( ...heehee. BEWB. ))
Omega19x: (totally bewb)
Omega19x: Ryou shrugged. "It would be a neat way to... to you know... get married... but I just want a pretty place, someplace... special, you know?"
ph33r my rod: "Yeah... but then, it'll be special already."
ph33r my rod: "I'm sure we'll come up with something, though. We've got some good ideas already."
Omega19x: ".. I know... Why is this so hard?"
ph33r my rod: "A lot of detail goes into these things so that it'll be absolutely perfect..."
Omega19x: "... it's so hard though, just to pick a place!" Ryou sighed. "And there's so much more we have to decide after that!!"
ph33r my rod: "...relax, Ryou." Malik put his hand on Ryou's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Don't stress yourself out over it..."
Omega19x: "... I... I just want it to be special..." he looked down at his lap.
Omega19x: "All these people in the book did something amazing for their special day... I don't know what we could even do to compare to all that..."
ph33r my rod: "..." Malik leaned over, pulling him into a hug. "Ryou, it'll be amazing regardless of where it's at. It's not the place that makes it special, but the fact that we'll be there together, showing our love for each other..."
Omega19x: "... Even if we got married at Skip-Bo hospital?"
ph33r my rod: "Even then."
Omega19x: Ryou smiled a little.
Omega19x: (and mun slept a little...)
