Omega19x: There is a knock on Isis' door.
ph33r my rod: Isis answered the door.
Omega19x: Kafele stood there, rubbing his head a little. "Can... can I come in?"
ph33r my rod: Isis blinked for a moment, then nodded. "Of course... is something wrong?"
Omega19x: "Yeah, I mean no... I mean... I don't know what I mean, can I just come in, please?"
ph33r my rod: A concerned look on her face, Isis stepped aside. "Come on in..."
Omega19x: "I don't know what to do... You're a priestess. Are the gods mad at us? At Mahaado?"
ph33r my rod: "I... what? Did something happen...?"
Omega19x: "You haven't read the papers?"
Omega19x: "Even Mahaado read them. He knows I went to see Subaru. And while I was gone, Marik attacked and I don't know what happened, but he died! I could feel it. And I died, but somehow we came back, and I don't want it to happen again, but Marik'll just keep coming back again and again and again, and I've got to go back in his soul even if I don't want to, because if the ritual works, then Marik'll come back and kill him for sure, and then we'll both be dead... and it's all my fault!"
Omega19x: And he said that all in one breath too.
ph33r my rod: Isis didn't know what to say. Of course she'd read the papers, but she wasn't sure how to respond. "I... I don't think the gods are mad at you, Kafele. Marik is sadistic... don't blame yourself for that."
Omega19x: "He died... And I wasn't there. I tried to get to him, but I couldn't. I just died too..."
Omega19x: "And some shadow creature ate off his legs... and he still wants to save my life..." Kafele just slumped.
Omega19x: "Everybody's right... I... I shouldn't exist in this world... I don't belong here..."
ph33r my rod: "...no, that's not true, Kafele." She laid a hand on his shoulder. "You were brought here for a reason... and you've grown attached to this world. A lot of people would be sad if you left."
Omega19x: "He's... he's going against Thoth to keep me here. He's giving up everything to keep me here. Before, I was just scared that when I die, he'll be left alone. But if the ritual works... I... I know somethings gonna happen. Something like this. And he'll be powerless, and he'll die... And then I'll be left alone... Or we'll both die... I don't want that to happen again..."
ph33r my rod: "...I'm sorry, there's not much I can say, except to... stay by him. You give each other strength. I... don't have the powers that I used to, so I'm afraid I can't offer you any more advice... I apologize."
Omega19x: "You mean, you're not a priestess? You can't talk to the gods? Tell them not to kill him because of me?"
ph33r my rod: "I'm only the reincarnation of a priestess... but I'll pray to the gods, and ask them to keep both of you safe."
Omega19x: Kafele was stunned. He was sure he'd heard Mahaado call her a good priestess countless times.
Omega19x: "Oh... Okay..."
ph33r my rod: "I'm sorry... if I still had the Tauk, I may be of more use..." And if it would work for her, but that was another story.
Omega19x: "Sorry to bother you, then... I should get home." And he poofed away. Isis should probably be rather thankful that he remembered to use the door the first time.
