Omega19x (2:04:04 PM): Azizi was making quite a mess of Mahaado's kitchen while he was away. Unfortunately, he hadn't found much of anything to actually make cookies with.

fai tiger (2:05:26 PM): Honda had wandered over and let himself into the shop, then headed up the stairs to find Azizi since obviously he wasn't downstairs.

Omega19x (2:06:30 PM): The kuribo had managed to find a large bag of white powder. He picked it up in his claws, sprouted wings, and lifted it. And of course, proceeded to drop it, sccattering flour everywhere.

Omega19x (2:07:03 PM): *kuri!*

fai tiger (2:08:10 PM): And of course, Honda walked right into this, just in time to get flour on himself too.

fai tiger (2:09:03 PM): "Whoa, you're taking those resolutions pretty seriously..." he muttered.

Omega19x (2:09:34 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (I think making cookies is harder than I thought.)

fai tiger (2:10:45 PM): "Heh, yeah, think so too. Managed anything besides turning the kitchen white so far?"

Omega19x (2:11:18 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri* (I found a bowl and flat metal plate) he pointed with a claw to the counter.

fai tiger (2:14:26 PM): "Ah, good start." Honda went over to the bowl and did his best to quickly clear off a spot to sit near it. "Figured out yet what you'll be putting into the bowl?"

Omega19x (2:15:36 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri. kuri kuri kuri kuri. kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (that white stuff I dropped. After that I'm not too sure. Mahaado's books don't have cookie recipes that I can eat.)

fai tiger (2:20:55 PM): "...Yeah, guess they don't want little apprentices making magical cookies or something." Honda nodded, trying not to think too much what magical cookies would be like. "As for the flour, well... dunno if you can pick it up and make it useable again, so you'll probably need a new bag."

Omega19x (2:22:26 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (And a mop to clean the floor...)

fai tiger (2:24:30 PM): Honda shook his head. "Broom first. Or vacuum cleaner maybe. Mop... that would leave us with wet sticky flour and an even bigger mess."

Omega19x (2:24:51 PM): *kuri kuri kuri* Azizi shrugged. (this is hard.)

fai tiger (2:27:51 PM): "Yeah, much harder without Mahaado's skill at commanding things to be clean," Honda agreed. "...Does he even have a broom?"

Omega19x (2:28:30 PM): Azizi scratched his furry head. *kuri* (I don't know.)

fai tiger (2:33:02 PM): Honda sighed. "Guess I better go out and find one for us then, so Mahaado isn't coming home to all this white... And while I'm at it, I'll buy you some more flour, if you insist on making your own batter; what else should I get for you so you can make cookies?"

Omega19x (2:33:55 PM): Azizi floated over to the cookie jar and got the lid off. He pulled out a cookie and started examining it. *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (this one has nuts and raisins.)

fai tiger (2:36:42 PM): "Okay, I can get those too," Honda replied patiently. "Got anything like milk, sugar, etc on hand?"

Omega19x (2:37:12 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (what exactly goes in cookies, anyway?)

Omega19x (2:38:00 PM): He flew around the kitchen, pulling open the door to the refrigerator with much effort. There was milk in there for sure. He wasn't sure about the second item Honda listed. He'd never heard Mahaado talk about it.

fai tiger (2:39:47 PM): "Uh... dunno for sure either. I'll see if I find any cookie cookbooks while I'm at it, kay?"

Omega19x (2:40:55 PM): *kuri...* (okay...) he nibbled on the cookie in his claws.

fai tiger (2:42:54 PM): "Heh, I'll try not to be gone too long," Honda promised before turning to leave.

Omega19x (2:43:20 PM): *magical grocerylapse*

fai tiger (3:02:51 PM): Honda soon returned, a couple of bags as well as a broom in hand. "Still here furball?"

Omega19x (3:03:35 PM): *kuri kuri kuri* (I think I made a bigger mess) He'd tried to clean up, but in reality, all he did was turn himself from a brown furball to a white furball.

fai tiger (3:06:48 PM): Honda blinked. "...Yeah, think ya did. On the bright side, could be worse; since you're still dry, maybe you can just shake most of the flour off?"

fai tiger (3:07:44 PM): Honda set the bags down, hopefully out of the way, and pulled a dustpan out of one so he could try to sweep up some of the flour before they started on the cookie-making.

Omega19x (3:09:28 PM): The kuribo flapped his wings, and shook himself off really good. *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (Ah. The art of creation is best put into cookie form.)

fai tiger (3:14:30 PM): "...I'll take your word on that," Honda replied, amused. He continued sweeping, getting up a majority of the loose flour he thought; they could clean more thoroughly the flour clinging to the flour after the cookies were made.

Omega19x (3:17:16 PM): The kuribo nodded.

fai tiger (3:22:29 PM): "Okay..." Honda murmured a little while later. "Think we're ready enough to start." He set the broom and dustpan aside, then went to the shopping bags again. "Found a book for you, noticed a recipe in it that seemed easy enough for us to try."

fai tiger (3:22:57 PM): He pulled out a book and quickly flipped through the pages to find the one he had in mind.

Omega19x (3:23:29 PM): The kuribo looked at the book curiously. he tore a page out of it, and ate it. *kuri kuri kuri* (interesting)

fai tiger (3:26:19 PM): "You're not supposed to eat the book," Honda grumbled. "I don't care how good the pictures look, they aren't real cookies."

Omega19x (3:27:12 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri. kuri kuri kuri kuri* (the fastest way to master something new is to eat it. Mahaado gets mad when I eat his books, though.)

fai tiger (3:33:47 PM): "...Right. Well, maybe it works for you, but I'm pretty sure people don't learn through eating books." Honda shook his head. "Anyways, I was thinking we could try this one first." He turned to a recipe for sugar cookies. "Not too many ingredients, not too many steps to follow." He cautiously set the book down and preheated the oven.

Omega19x (3:34:24 PM): The kuribo watched him. All he knew about the oven was that Mahaado would sometimes put food in it and better smelling food came out.

fai tiger (3:42:38 PM): Oven preheating, Honda snagged the ingredients in the shopping bag and sat down next to the book again. "First up, butter and sugar." He held the two items out to Azizi. "I'd say... eh, one stick of butter and several scoops of sugar, unless you're making really big scoops."

Omega19x (3:43:37 PM): *kuri* The kuribo watched. Those items sure didn't look like cookies. But if they turned into cookies...

fai tiger (3:46:33 PM): Honda nodded at Azizi's skeptical look. "There's more stuff, don't worry. We'll get to that after these are combined enough."

Omega19x (3:46:46 PM): The kuribo watched intentely.

"What, am I supposed to do that for you?" Honda asked, dropping the butter and sugar into the bowl then starting to mash them together.

Omega19x (5:37:15 PM): *kuri kuri kuri* (that looks simple enough) the kuribo tried to take the spoon into his hands and stir. That proved quite messy.

fai tiger (5:42:08 PM): Honda reached over and gently shifted the spoon in Azizi's grip. "Try holding the spoon right in front of you, more up-right. Stirring at an angle doesn't work so well without elbows."

Omega19x (5:43:25 PM): Azizi stirred like Honda showed him to, dipping his claw in to taste it after a little while.

fai tiger (5:53:44 PM): "Heh, I think that's good. Now for the next items, which will be..." Honda checked the book. "An egg and a little bit of vanilla." He poured a little vanilla in, then held an egg to Azizi. "Think you can crack this without getting shell in the bowl or no?"

Omega19x (5:54:48 PM): The kuribo picked up the egg and blinked at it. *kuri?*

fai tiger (6:03:57 PM): "...I'll take that as a no then." Honda took the egg back. "To open, tap it against the side of the bowl, like so." He tapped the egg against the side of the bowl a few times until it started to crack. "Then open it up..." He held the crack over the bowl and carefully slid his fingers to the edges of the crack, lightly pulling until the contents of the egg came out. "And there you go. Time for a bit more stirring, until the egg part isn't solid anymore."

Omega19x (6:04:40 PM): *kuri kuri* the kuribo watched the egg drop, and took the spoon again, stirring the strange mixture.

fai tiger (6:12:27 PM): Honda nodded and watched for a little while. "Okay, that looks good I think," he eventually declared. "Now it's time for the flour, baking soda, and baking powder." He pulled them out of the bag. "And no, no clue what the difference is, but I'm sure there is one. You keep stirring, I'll start adding these bit by bit."

Omega19x (6:12:57 PM): *kuri kuri kuri* (I can do that part)

fai tiger (8:11:58 PM): Honda smiled and added first some flour, then a bit of the baking soda stuff. After he'd let Azizi stir some, he added more flour, a bit of baking powder, then more flour again.

Omega19x (8:12:12 PM): *stir stir stir*

Omega19x (8:16:33 PM): *kuri kuri* Azizi put his claw in the mix and tasted it again.

fai tiger (8:16:51 PM): "Looks good." Honda laughed and watched for a little longer before saying, "Okay, stir a bit more and then we get to make the dough into little discs to bake into cookies."

Omega19x (8:17:20 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri* (So this is where cookies come from...) Azizi chirped and stirred more.

fai tiger (8:19:54 PM): Honda laughed and nodded. "Yup. Think that's about ready. You have several cookie sheets or just the one?"

Omega19x (8:20:19 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (Mahaado doesn't make things like this that often. This is probably the only one he has)

fai tiger (8:28:16 PM): "Yeah, good point. That's fine, we can make do with just one." Honda got a smaller spoon and scooted the cookie sheet closer to start scooping up dough to make into balls then gently squishing them into discs. "Dunno how easy this part will be for you, claws prolly ain't the best for making dough balls and discs..."

Omega19x (8:29:03 PM): Azizi, not to be too deterred, put his claws in the dough and tried to do what Honda was doing. His discs didn't look as round, but they were probably bakable.

fai tiger (8:31:54 PM): Honda snickered. "Oh sure, prove me wrong," he teased. "Think this is enough for this time, we'll fill the cookie sheet again after these bake and cool enough to remove."

Omega19x (8:32:13 PM): *kuri kuri kuri* (This is the best part, then!)
fai tiger (8:35:07 PM): "Heh, yup!" Honda took the cookie sheet over to the oven to start it baking. "Ya have to worry about things like hot ovens and cookie sheets?"

Omega19x (8:36:03 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (fire spells do burn, you know. I'm not that invulnerable!)

fai tiger (8:41:12 PM): "Hey, just checking!" Honda exclaimed. "Not too much to do right now but talk about random stuff while we wait."

Omega19x (8:42:08 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri. kuri kuri kuri* (At least everything is moving well according to Thoth's plan. Usually it isn't.)

fai tiger (8:45:38 PM): Honda thought about that, then nodded. "Yeah, suppose things are going well lately. Of course, I don't know the plan... But then again, not entirely sure if I want to know about the plan and if stuff like... well, anything related to Delwyn, if that's part of it." He shrugged.

Omega19x (8:47:08 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri. Kuri kuri kuri. Kuri kuri kuri.* (He's quite prone to dark curiosity, his own worst enemy sometimes. She'd be good for him. Like a conscience with wings.)

fai tiger (8:52:20 PM): Honda couldn't help but snicker a bit. "'Conscience with wings'... That'd probably be more amusing if I actually knew her. But yeah, does sound rather like the situation I suppose."

Omega19x (8:53:20 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (He'd really be surprised to learn how much his magic will improve when he fully opens his heart as well as his mind and soul.)

fai tiger (8:57:07 PM): "Yeah, I imagine so..." Honda replied quietly, leaning back. "Of course, I'm not exactly planning to say anything to him about that, just so you know. Seeing as I'm really one to talk, aren't I?"

Omega19x (8:58:26 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (he'd be amazed if he only knew what I knew. Which of course is why he can't understand me. That would make it far too easy, wouldn't it.)

fai tiger (9:06:50 PM): "Heh, but of course," Honda grinned. "I'm sure there's plenty I don't get told either. I don't mind though, most of the time at least." He casually shrugged but looked around for a change of topic. "Oh, and hey, this batch of cookies looks done!"

Omega19x (9:07:49 PM): *kuri!!* Azizi jumped for joy, his wings fluttering.

fai tiger (9:10:02 PM): Honda laughed and hurried over to the oven again to open it. "Ya hafta wait til they cool a bit before you eat them," he reminded the kuribo.

Omega19x (9:16:42 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (they smell wonderful!)

fai tiger (9:24:35 PM): "Heh, I'm sure they'll taste great too."

Omega19x (9:26:57 PM): Azizi could hardly wait. As soon as the cookies were cool enough to touch, he took one and immediately ate it. *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (we actually made cookies!)

fai tiger (9:27:54 PM): Honda grinned and nodded. "Yup, think we did pretty well."

Omega19x (9:29:47 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri* (Sort of takes the magic out of them, just a little. Or perhaps it makes it that much more magical, simply because they're creatable.)

fai tiger (9:46:45 PM): "Heh, however ya wanna look at it," Honda replied. "Think it's safe to leave you to create on your own in the future? I'll still probably bring you cookies from time to time anyways."

Omega19x (9:50:21 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri kuri* (maybe I'd better practice some more first.)

fai tiger (9:55:41 PM): "Heh, okay. Hope you have fun doing that, try not to make too much of a mess for Mahaado to clean up though. This my cue to leave you to that?"

Omega19x (9:57:33 PM): *kuri kuri kuri kuri!* (take care and thanks for the help!) He reached for another homebaked cookie and chirped happily.

fai tiger (9:58:47 PM): "Sure thing, see ya later." Honda reached over to pet Azizi for a moment before getting up to leave.
